The IMF and Globalization: A List of Events and Resources Last Updated January 2004 The debate on globalization continues to raise issues that are at the core of national and international policy agendas. The IMF believes that globalization has great potential to contribute to the growth that is essential for a sustained reduction of global poverty. This list offers an overview of the contributions to the global public debate by IMF management and staff and focuses on those aspects of globalization that are at the core area of its expertise, like on the functioning of the international monetary system, on the aspects financial globalization, and on promoting sound macroeconomic policies as a precondition for sustained economic growth. The IMF and Globalization: A List of Events and Resources

Last Updated January 2004 The debate on globalization continues to raise issues that are at the core of national and international policy agendas.
