New Prayer List We will begin a new prayer list for the sick next week in the bulletin. Please call the parish office to put your loved ones name on this prayer list. This list is made available for all parishioners to pray at home, in prayer groups, during adoration, or wherever they might pray.

Adult Confirmation The Adult Confirmation Mass will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:30am at the Corpus Christi Cathedral. In addition to the sacramental catechesis provided by the parish, each candidate should attend a one-day retreat. The Adult Confirmation Retreat will held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration Form due February 2, 2018. Candidates for Adult Confirmation: Candidates who are 18 years old (cannot be in High School) and older. Candidates cannot be in a cohabi-tating relationship or irregular marriage. Confirmation must be delayed until this situation is rectified. Guidelines for Sponsors: The sponsor is to be a practicing Catholic in good stand-ing with the Church, at least sixteen years of age and have received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Individuals who are in irregular marriages, in a cohabitating relationship, or not practicing Catholics cannot be sponsors. Parents cannot be sponsors. Please come by the Parish Office for Registration Form. For more information, please call Irene at 361-882-3245 ext. 13.

Confirmación para Adultos La Misa de Confirmación para Adultos se llevará a cabo el sábado 17 de Marzo de 2018 a las 10:30 a.m. en la Catedral de Corpus Christi. El Retiro de Confirmación para Adultos tendrá lugar el sábado 10 de febrero de 2018 de 8:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. El formulario de inscripción se vence el 2 de febrero de 2018. Live The Liturgy - Inspiration For The Week Families face many challenges. All of the demands of work, school, and society can easily put a strain on even the best intentioned of families. Hurt, anger, and bitterness can grow in our families especially when conflicts are not properly resolved or relationships nurtured. Human beings require time, patience, love, and nurturing. We need to take time to cele-brate the gift of family and not allow other demands to rob us of the time we need to spend together. Life is short. The Holy Family stands before us today showing us that love, commitment, and perseverance can see us through any difficulty or chal-lenge life can bring. May we learn from their example!

Vivir La Liturgia - Inspiración De La Semana Las familias se enfrentan a muchos retos. Todas las obligaciones del trabajo, la escuela, la sociedad pueden poner una presión excesiva en las mejores de las familias. Puede haber en nuestras familias: heridas, enojos, amarguras que pueden crecer especialmente cuando los conflictos no se resuelven. Las personas humanas necesitan tiempo, paciencia, amor y alimento. Necesitamos tiempo para cele-brar el don de la familia y no permitir que otras obligaciones nos roben el tiempo: la vida es corta. La Sagrada Familia es un ejemplo que nos muestra el amor, la en-trega y la perseverancia ante cualquier difi-cultad o reto que la vida nos pueda traer. ¡Ojalá que aprendamos de su ejemplo!
