The ceremony will be held on Saturday September 28 at the Veterans Wall of Honor and the Veterans Museum, both located at Heritage Park in McDonough. Families will have a chance to pay tribute to and share stories of their fallen heroes and to find fellowship and support by joining with others who have experienced a similar loss. Families will also have an opportunity to honor their soldiers by placing a photo on the Wall of Honor inside the museum. The public ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. at the Veterans Wall of Honor, a monument built as a tribute to all men and women of the military. Keynote speaker will be State Court Judge James Chafin. Judge Chafin was first appointed by Governor Roy Barnes to the State Court Bench Jan 1, 2003. Prior to his distinguished career in law, he was appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point and graduated in 1974.
