Completing Projects on Time

Art of Multi-Tasking

Striving for An A+ or A

TIME  IS  OF  THE  ESSENCE…

High School is a different ball game; much different than Grade School. With new lessons to be learned and new traits that evolve, learning has been painful yet rewarding. Over the course of the entire school year, we have been bombarded with mountains and mountains of assessments, projects and video requirements that we wonder at times, whether we will be able to finish these or not. Enduring through sleepless nights, uncooperative group mates and online study groups, we sometimes imagine this as a form of punishment. The way I see it, it brings to us new lessons learned, and new traits exemplified. Throughout the school year, we have managed to learn how to create movies, brochures and more. It has also taught us the art of multi-tasking, time-management and the drive to strive for an A or A+.

Bullying, the number one cause of horrible school life. In Freshman year, the bullying has receded, but is not totally eradicated. Despite the Anti-Bullying programs all over the school, students have not learned. Only we can change ourselves.

Throughout the entire Xavier School history, disciplinary sanctions are the cause of most students’ hate on teachers today. In Freshman year, the reasons for disciplinary sanctions have gotten worse. From the leaving of stuff in the lockers, to now wearing of white socks instead of black socks in school. But in the end, these are to discipline ourselves for the future.

Common reasons on why students think school life is unfair, but in the end teaches us important values

Freshman year’s assessments have prevented us from our social life. We complain about teachers giving assessments on the final weeks, but we also have to blame ourselves. Poor time management is one of the things we have to blame ourselves for, and if we can change this, an overload of assessments won’t be a problem anymore.

Xcalibur Fair

Sure there are some nasty celebrations going on around the seasons of Xavier, but nothing is wilder than the heart pumping XAVIER FAIR!

What: Booth

While you were kicking, shooting, playing and merely disturbing booths, the HIGH SCHOOL were pouring their sweat to keep their booths alive and running. (Not like a rusty old jalopy) Now that you’re here, get ready to be kicked, shot, played and disturbed. Above that, you’re going to be competing with other classes to earn the “BEST BOOTH EVER” award. So keep those ideas running, and your pants.

The fair isn’t all about playing and you know, fairing. Late at night, there will be the famous VARIETY SHOW. Here, different bands and dance groups and anyone who can make you shout like crazy will perform. In high school, you actually get to JOIN the committee in charge of this event. It’s a great opportunity. Don’t miss out on it!

Unleash the MUSIC

When you win the best booth or the richest booth award, Xavier gives your class 2000. Yes that’s right: three zeros to spend. Aside from that, you get to keep 30% of your earnings. Now that’s a bargain!

Another door closing, Another gate opening

Since the start of the school year, we were all singing “I will survive” (even if some gave up), but of course, we’re here. We’re alive, maybe a few hurt, and some in the hospital, but ALIVE! Just as the school year ends, we would want to thank a few people who helped us along the way...

Funny, helpful, playful, caring... Sounds like the recipe for another teddy bear. Well he is! Sir. Toshi is a teacher who likes to relate with his students, sharing everything he had the previous day. Also, he smiles ALL THE TIME. Even if he’s angry he’s smiling. Some say he’s the best adviser. It’s up to you to decide, but really, he is...

A new recruit from the island of Cebu, Mr. Uy always got his swagger. You never see him out of fashion or sitting in a corner. He is always full of excitement and makes up silly but funny gestures to impress the class. What else would students want than an exciting teacher?

A Xavier alumnus known for his tranquility and being macho. When this guy steps in, everyone is intimidated, but once his attitude comes out, everything changes. Mr. Yu is one SILENT teacher but at times he could unleash that XAVIER SPIRIT within. For short, he’s awesome...

High school would never be high school without you 1C. You helped us in different ways at all times. Honestly, we believe that you’re the best class ever. A good class is needed for a better time in high school. SALAMAT 1C, A totally great class.

High school is an important journey of life. Here, you will be changed from your childish wonderland to bear with the real world. High 1 will serve as your stepping stone to change. You will need High 1 in your experiences. Missing the chance to live it to the fullest will be fatal, but if you maximize this opportunity, you will reach another wonderland.
