    Green Pastures Society Network (GPSN) connects low-income

    families to government financial benefits and support. They

    help uncover hidden financial and economic opportunities to

    help their clients transition from poverty into a sustainable

    livelihood. Over the past eight years, the Green Pastures

    Society Network has harvested over $7.2 million in benefits for

    their clients.

    THE PROBLEMIn order to connect clients with the financial benefits and

    support they are eligible for, Green Pastures Society Network

    must first conduct an interview to screen each potential

    client. This questionnaire was done manually at their outreach

    locations in the Greater Toronto Area. The screening process

    took 3 hours to complete, from conducting the survey

    questions to connecting the benefits to the client.

    THE SOLUTION

    “We were spending a lot of time manually screening prospective clients to determine whether our service is suitable for them”.

    GPSN came to Konverge for a solution to automate and reduce

    the time spent on their screening process. Konverge automated

    the screening process by building a web application that staff

    could use to conduct the interviews. Through the application,

    answers were instantly captured and sent to the head office for

    review. Head office staff are now able to determine the client’s

    eligibility by accessing their benefits and support.

    GPSN’s custom solution also allows them to track KPI’s such

    as the number of screenings completed. Furthermore, they

    can easily track the answers from the 40 questions in each

    questionnaire.

    Green Pastures Society Network’s web application allows their agents to take in more clients by digitizing their workflow.

    “Every prospective client is interviewed using the software Konverge developed for us. Based on the results of the interview, we can readily determine if we can be of assistance to the prospective client or not. This takes 20 minutes to do instead of 3 hours to complete”.

    Built on Umbraco CMS, the Green Pastures Society Network web application allows them to track KPI’s such as the number of screenings completed. Furthermore, they can easily track the answers from the 40 questions in each questionnaire.

    THE RESULTWith this solution, the screening time was reduced from 3

    hours to 20 minutes per client.

    By simplifying the screening process, GPSN could train non-

    technical people to administer the online questionnaire. This

    freed up expensive technical staff to concentrate on more

    challenging assignments.

    GPSN has been using the solution that Konverge built for 2

    years. They plan to scale up their operations to 500 locations in

    Toronto over the next 2 years and 5000 locations in Ontario in

    5 years.

    By digitizing GPSN’S client intake workflow, 90% of the processing time was saved.

    “We will be launching our screening service in over 100 locations in the fall of 2019; 400 new locations in 2020. We could not readily do this without your product. We can now readily deploy our service in over 5000 locations in the province of Ontario after training non-technical staff in the use of the software.”
