World Muslim Leader Warns of Grave Threat of a Third World War
Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat urges restraint over Syria and calls for equity and justice
The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat and Fifth Khalifa, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has spoken with great concern about the potential impact of military intervention in Syria.His Holiness said that such action would cause the Syrian conflict to spread far and wide and ultimately could lead to a devastating Third World War. His Holiness said the only way to solve the crisis was to act at all times upon the Quranic teaching of remaining fair and just.Speaking about the inherent dangers of the Syrian conflict, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said the crisis had already caused division and dissension in the wider world. He said that whilst some major powers were siding with the Syrian Government, other major powers were siding with the rebel forces. His Holiness said this divide “had created the most dangerous state of affairs.”Speaking about the effect of such division, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:“If foreign powers become directly involved in Syria it will harm not just the Arab countries but also other nations. It seems that many of the major powers do not realise that such a war would not remain limited to just Syria but could well be a precursor to Third World War.”

The holy Quran declares, whomesoever have taken a life of an innocent soul, it shall be as if he has killed the entire humankind, and this kind of bloodshed is not permitted in Islam at any cost. “As rivalries ferment and hatreds become ever more deeply entrenched, no one knows where such issues will finally lead us or how horrific the conse-quences will prove to be” – Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad On 9 March 2019, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Commu-nity, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad delivered the keynote address at the 16th National Peace Symposium hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK. The event was held at the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London with an audi-ence of more than 1000, including 700 dignitaries and guests from 30 countries, including Ministers, Ambassadors of State, Members of Parliament.Speaking about the effect of such division, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: During the event, His Holiness presented Dr. Fred Mednick, founder of Teachers Without Borders, with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Prize for the Advance-ment of Peace in recognition of his efforts to provide unfettered access to educa-tion to some of the most neglected parts of the world.Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad began his address by stating that the Ahmadi-yya Muslim Community would never waver from its efforts to promote peace and justice in the world. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:“If there is a nuclear war, we will not only be destroying the world today but we will also be leaving behind a lasting trail of destruction and misery for our future generations. World Head Of The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Condemns New Zealand Attack
The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place earlier today in New Zealand.
Speaking from London, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: “On behalf of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community worldwide, I express my deepest sympathies and condolences to all those affected by the barbaric terrorist attack that has taken place in Christchurch. “Such heinous and utterly inhumane attacks must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. It is a grave tragedy that dozens of innocent Muslims have lost their lives whilst joining together for worship. All people, no matter their faith or belief, have the right to worship peacefully. “This tragic event should serve as a lesson and warning to other coun-tries of the developed world that we must join together to tackle all forms of racial, ethnic and religious hatred with wisdom and with a firm hand.“Our heartfelt prayers are with the victims of these attacks and all those who have been affected. May the perpetrators of this evil act be promptly brought to justice.”

About the Friday SermonThe Reality of “Magic” on The Prophet (sa)

After reciting the Tashahhud, Ta’awwuz, and Surah Al-Fatihah, Haz-rat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) stated: Hazrat Qais bin Mihsan was a companion from among the An-sar. He participated in the Battles of Badr and Uhud. Umm Sa’ad bint Qais was one of his daughters. His children were in Medina when he passed away. The next companion is Hazrat Jubair bin Iyaas. His father’s name was Iyaas bin Khalid. He participated in the Battle of Badr. He belonged to the Banu Zuraiq branch of the Khazraj tribe. It is men-tioned in ahadith that a Jewish man attempted to cast a magic spell on the Holy Prophet (sa); as a symbolic gesture he used a comb with the hair of the Holy Prophet (sa) and put this in the well with some dates. It is related that Hazrat Jubair bin Iyaas took those items out of the well. It is important to know our viewpoint regarding this magic. I will now present some of the details of this incident that are found in the litera-ture of the Community Regarding the narration of Hazrat Ayesha (ra), Hazrat Mus-leh Maud (ra) states: “It seems that the two people mentioned who came to the Holy Prophet (sa) were in fact Angels. Had they been hu-mans, surely Hazrat Ayesha (ra) would have seen them. In relation to the narration of Hazrat Ayesha (ra), Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra) states: “It merely states that Allah the Exalted had informed the Holy Prophet (sa) through the means of angels that the Jews have tried to cast a spell on him. It does not mean that the Holy Prophet (sa) was affected by the spell in the way people believe spells to work.”

Introduction Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad(rh) – Khalifatul Masih III (the third succes-sor of The Promised Messiah), in the capacity of Khalifatul Masih, on his first visit to some countries of Europe and Africa delivered a public lecture on 28 July 1967 at the Wandsworth Town Hall, London. It was later published under the title A Message of Peace and a Word of Warning and is being presented here again. In this lecture Huzur introduces the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and the Movement itself and after mentioning the purpose of com-ing of the Promised Messiah (as), he concludes his lecture with the wording of The Promised Messiah(as)
‘O Europe, you are not safe and O Asia, you too, are not immune. And O dwellers of Islands, no false gods shall come to your rescue. I see cities fall and settle-ments laid waste. The One and the Only God kept si-lent for long. Heinous deeds were done before His eyes and He said nothing. But now He shall reveal His face in majesty and awe. Let him who has ears hear that the time is not far. I have done my best to bring all under the protection of God, but it was destined that what was written should come to pass. Truly do I say, that the turn of this land, too, is approaching fast. The times of Noah shall reappear before your eyes and your own eyes will be witnesses to the calamity that overtook the cities of Lot. But God is slow in His wrath. Repent that you may be shown mercy! He who does not fear Him is dead not alive.’
