Ph.D Club Just a reminder that our Projects Half Done (thus the Ph.D.) Club meets the 1st Saturday of the month. Bring a project or help with someone else’s or just come and participate in our book discussion. God’s Guest List by Debbie McComber is the book that Andie Regg is presenting. Beginning May 3rd, our hours will be 10-12.

THIRD THURSDAYS AT BLACK ABBEY Come and join us in May for Beery Spiritual Discussions! May 16th, we will have as our guest, Rev. Paul Sledge of Tennessee Interfaith Power and Light and Creation Care.

CHILDREN and YOUTH SUNDAY SCHOOL We will meet at 9am on Sundays. Hope to see you there! AFFIRM is coming up! If you can help our young members get ready for AFFIRM and/ or help with transportation to and from AFFIRM June 16th and June 21st. We are also in need of donations to help with the expenses for the youth. Your gifts will be much appreciated!

SIMPLY SUDBURY FIRST DAY! Long awaited and now celebrating the opening day at Sudbury! Congratulations, Sudbury!

Christ Lutheran Church in partnership with the Atlantic Institute will host an iftar, a Ramadan fast-breaking dinner, on Thursday, May 23rd. An important part of Ramadan tradition is to share the fast-breaking meal with neighbors, friends, and loved ones - regardless of faith or race. It was a community building event as neighbors of different faiths get to know each other better over a meal! The entire meal will be prepared by Atlantic Institute volunteers. Please sign up on the sheet on the office window so we can anticipate how many to prepare for dinner. Thank you, Atlantic Institute, for your work to bring about understanding and community!

COMMUNITY SHARE TABLE / FOOD DRIVE May 26th This month our community share table will be held on Sunday, May 26th. Please bring your items no earlier than Sunday, May 19. Items most needed: canned meats, veges and pasta sauce, pasta and boxed milk. We support two food banks! One that serves Antioch and the other that serves our neighbors in Smyrna and LaVergne. So give generously, please.

FLOWERS The new 2019 Flower Chart is up in the Multi-purpose room. Please select the Sundays after Easter that you would like to have flowers in honor of, or memory of, family members or friends. Cost is still $20 and you may take your flowers home to enjoy after the 10:00 am service.

In March, the Church Council approved use of the space in front of the church under the cross as a Memorial Garden for the scattering or interment of ashes of members of the congregation.

We dedicated the Memorial Garden on Easter Sunday at the beginning of the service with a new fire and the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus.
