ROAD USERS ACTUATION

Information that can guide toward the “ideal state” is transmitted to L2+ vehicles.

APIsDigital Signs V2X Comms

L2+ vehicles receive

information from the infrastructure

to enhance perception and path planning.

Sensors

Vehicles and road state are detected.

Sensed data is aggregated and

interpreted and the “ideal state” is

calculated to provide feedback to L2+

vehicles.

Barriers Lighting Signaling Road Design

Interventions are made to the physical infrastructure to mitigate or eliminate

disengagement scenarios.

INTEGRATIONS

APIs

Information sent to OEMs to help with tech

We unlock capital and absorb demand risk to enable investment in roads of the future

Public investments in road infrastructure face three key challenges

Cavnue deploys private capital to align financial and technology risk with the public sector

30%of annual revenue linked to declining gas tax base

20-year cycleraises the stakes on bad technology investments

Risk aversemunicipal finance is less willing to make bets on technology and AV trends

>$100Bin private infrastructure capital in North America remains unallocated

Risk alignedinvestments fund new technology and anticipate future demand growth

Institutional backingenables Cavnue to effectively raise and deploy project financing

Technology Partnership Model

Government Partner• Evaluate benefits and support programmatic

approach to tech deployment• Expedite internal processes and reviews• Provide necessary data and access to

resources

• Unique expertise, particularly with regards to CAVs

• Financial support for planning, design, construction and operations

• Build/buy/partner technology integration• Partnerships with Auto/AV/Freight

industries

• Provide mobility, health, economic and connectivity benefits to all residents

• Leverage private sector investment in infrastructure to seek additional federal funding

• Develop clear understanding of issues to address for existing/future technology

• De-risk all aspects of integrated technology projects for government

• Build scalable products, including CAV lanes, for both other IOOs and Auto/AV/Freight industries

• Incentivize continuous innovation for both partners

Partnership Outcomes

14

• 2-4 months

• CAV Readiness Framework Analysis• Identify projects(s) to take into more

detailed development activities

• Full Issue Discovery Analysis• Concept of Operations for CAV and other

technology improvements• Option for instrumentation of corridor ROW• Implementation Agreement

Phase OneCAV Readiness Framework Analysis

Phase TwoCorridor CAV and Technology Plan

Phase ThreeImplementation

• Assess the readiness of the Port Authority portfolio of transportation assets specifically from the perspective of AV/CV applications, as per AASHTO’s NCHRP 20-24(112)

• Evaluate CAV lane needs (right of way configuration, civil design, traffic mix, congestion) and articulate the economic benefits of CAV in a given area

• 4-6 months

• Conduct safety, traffic, civil, technological, and financial feasibility of CAVs and technology improvements on a project(s)

• Include stakeholder workshops and industry partnership (OEMs, terminal operators, freight/logistics companies, EV Charging company) meetings

• Develop and deliver the technology, environmental and civil improvements, including testing

• Develop analytics platform around safety, congestion, and operations

• Continued outreach to stakeholders along the corridor

• 6-24 months

• Complete all engineering drawings and permits

• Deploy technology and roadway improvements for CAVs and other solutions

• Deliver analytics platform
