Think about what you just read. A series of pretty graphs andstatistics, all pretty interesting right?
Wait!
When you were reading them, did you question whetherthey were real?
Did you ask yourself how we might have obtained thisdata?
How many people did we survey?
What’s the source of all this data?
The problem is: we made them up.

If you did ask these questions, congratulations!
If you didn’t, then we urge you to be more criticalof the data you see in everyday life, because dataalways has an agenda.
We’re tired of seeing untrue data. We believe trueinsight can only come when you take raw data fromthe source.
At RTM, we review the recruitment functionsof huge companies and not once have ever beengiven raw, uninterpreted data. As an industry wehave to be more critical of the data that we trust.

Did you know you that 20% of the statistics thatyou see every day are untrue?

Here’s a 5 step guide to help you be morecritical of the data you encounter:
1. Did someone sponsor this research? If so, who? What might their agenda be?
2. Are the research methods being explained?
3. If the research methods aren’t explained thendon’t trust the conclusions.
4. How was this data obtained? Is it from a primarysource? Or does it come from another report?
5. How many people were surveyed to obtain this data? And which to exclude? Is there any detail about whatdata they might have removed?
If the research methods aren’t explained thendon’t trust the conclusions.
