Sustainability

• CAPA is working hard towards sustainability

• In the absence of DND funding, CAPA must now find other ways to fund our association

• The BOD and National Office have taken a serious look at existing programs and expenditures; many savings have been attained

• Plans have been put in place that would allow CAPA to reach sustainability by 2019/20

Membership Fees

• DND funding subsidy has allowed us to keep membership dues artificially low

• End of DND funding March 31st, 2016 has necessitated a review of membership fees

• The CAPA Board of Directors has reviewed and considered several scenarios

• An increase to membership fees is necessary to ensure the sustainability of CAPA

Supporting CAPA

• Tough pill to swallow, but a fee increase is needed to ensure our success

• Membership fees are tax deductible. When claimed, most PAs should get 50% of fees back

• After carefully considering scenarios Board is recommending this increase

• By voting in favour of this increase you are ensuring the sustainability of the association and more importantly your profession

• We will continue to look for cost savings and additional sponsors
