ABOUT CAPA. . . Robert Capa was born on October 22, 1913 and died on May

25, 1954. He was born into a Jewish family, his parents were tailors. He started studies in journalism at the German Political

College, but the Nazi Party instituted restrictions on Jews and prohibited them from colleges.

TYPE OF PHOTOGRAPHY He was a war photographer, he covered five different wars

(the Spanish Civil War, 2nd Sino-Japanese War, World War II across Europe, the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, and the 1st Indochina War).

In 1938, when he was only 25 years old, the British magazine Picture Post had the confidence to call him "The Greatest War-Photographer in the World."
