In 2006 Bioner introduced several improvements in its implant design, including a new surface developed un-

Bioner was established in 1992 and, in its early years, dedicated itself exclusively to the manufac-ture and sale of components compatible with all major implant systems. In 1998, already enjoying a strong position in the Spanish market, Bioner started the design, development and marketing of its own implant under the guidance of various uni-versities and renowned research centers.

In 2005, in order to increase the capacity and quality of its production process, Bioner acquired an industrial plant where the headquarters moved later on.

In recent years the company has continued to promote the expansion and improvement of products by incorporating cutting-edge machinery in order to continue to supply the Spanish market and start trading in the foreign market.

Bioner complies the guidelines contained in both ISO 9001 and 13485 and has both

The chosen method to improve the implants surface is acid etching, discarding other methods that entail a greater contamination risk. Acid etching creates cavities and pores in the implant surface that enables a rapid bone growth through them, a phenomenon known as osteoconduction. Bioner implants enable osteointegration in a short period of time, also in early and immediate loading procedures.

FATIGUE TEST. Fatigue limit ( 5x10 6 cycles) of 450N.

CYTOTOXICITY FOLLOWING ISO 10993 Standard. NO contamination found.

Before their commercial release, Bioner implants have un-dergone a series of tests in order to validate their proper performance. Some of the results obtained are:

Package opening

Remove the plastic tube from inside the box. The box contains the traceability la-bels as well.

Unscrew the colored cap , breaking the seal, and drop the inner container (which contains the implant) into the sterile

Remove the hexed cap from the cylinder. The implant is inside of the tube, pro-tected by a Titanium ring.

When needed, unscrew the superior part

Implant insertion

Remove the implant with the insertion tool.

Bring the implant towards the oral cav-ity. It is recommended to do it just as it

inverted.

Start the implant insertion in the bone bed with as low revolutions per minute as possible. Do not exceed an insertion Torque of 55 Ncm.

Once the implant is placed remove the insertion tool, shaking it slightly.

Do not insert the tool into the implant while the handpiece is rotating. The im-plant connection may be damaged.

In case it is necessary to reinitiate the insertion process once it has already started, it is recommended to do it with a ratchet.
