Please take the time to use your envelopes. By doing so we are better able to keep track of your donations. We sincerely thank you for your continued generosity.

From the Pastor:

My dear friends in Christ,

St. Paul tells us emphatically that love never fails! This Scripture sounds much different when we read outside the context of a wedding. It makes it obvious that of all the many things we do, loving is paramount. We are called to keep patience, kindness, truth, and endurance in the forefront of our minds, while putting aside anger, jealousy, and envy. People present us with needs. Some of these needs require unqualified love. How difficult is that for us? Jesus’ heart was wide enough to love us all! Can we do the same?

Parish Finance Council Update: The parish accountant met with us. The Christmas collection was $5,000 less than last year. Hoping Easter will offset the deficit. Our FTMM Campaign allowed us to get estimates on the curb work and parking lot repair. We have three ranging from $55,000 to $77,000. We are also getting estimates on the hallway rest rooms in order to bring them to code and make them handicap accessible. These projects will commence in the spring after the school year ends and the weather is warmer. An inquiry was made for a monthly 50/50 raffle to go along with our annual 50/50 raffle. That is under review to be discussed at the next meeting. In setting our budget for next year, we will no longer have monthly collections for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. Effective July 1, 2019 the collection will be quarterly on the 3rd Sunday of August, November, February and May. Saint Vincent de Paul will continue to receive the weekly Poor Box donations. Parish Debt Reduction envelopes will continue.

May God bless you all!

Father John

THAT MAN IS YOU! Starting Our 6th Spring Semester on February 9th

We are a diverse group of Catholic Men who meet in Bogdan Hall on Saturday mornings at 6:00 AM. We meet to grow in our Faith by looking at the teachings in the Bible and the Catholic Church and then relating those teachings to our lives in the world.

This is an experience that enriches our understanding of the Faith through Scriptures and the Teachings that are offered. Further, we experience a relationship with other men that offer their perspectives on Faith, The Church, and Scriptures. As a consequence, our Faith is refreshed and is becoming more active and evangelizing.

Come join us. Yes, it is early, but the fulfillment that we all achieve is well worth the experience each week. We provide coffee and light refreshments.

“WOMEN OF JOY” PRAYER BREAKFAST Saturday, February 9th, 2019, 9:00-11:30 AM

Happy Anniversary and Happy Valentine’s Day, Women of Joy! We have much to celebrate as we enter into a new year and our 16th year together in our journey with the Lord. We focus this year on “letting go and living free in the Holy Spirit” and how this power impacts our lives and the lives we touch every day. How fortunate we are to be able to gather together in community to experience God’s abundant blessings, love and joy. Scripture tells us “For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (John 14:16). In this month of sharing our love with others, you are invited to come and be a part of this celebration of God’s love at our breakfast. Come join us for an uplifting morning of laugher, song, good food, warm fellowship and spiritual comfort. All are welcome! We look forward to seeing you on the 9th. Information/directions/inclement weather cancellation? Please call Mariann Janus, 609.835.1475 or Monica Maas at 609.877.1583.
