The African Girl Child Digital Hub: project proposal for gender gap reduction (suggested pilot case)

Initial situation

A low share of young women to access digital jobs.

In Sub-Saharan Africa, 9 million girls will never attend school.

The Government pays more attention to Boys.

Africa is not ready for digital industry nor has the right skills.

Proposal main focus

The need to close the heavy gender gap and provide digital jobs for the Girl Child.

Train about 500 African Girls annually (Nigeria).

Empower Girls to be entrepreneurs and enable a sustainable development in Africa.

Support the approach with Train the trainer programs.

Project outcomes

Catalyst for the technological and economic development in Africa.

Promotion of technology transfer and productivity in Africa.

Entrepreneurship & Tech Hub Starters.

2500 Girls trained in 5 years: increase in Gender Parity and skilled work.
