Austin is currently in the 6th grade and en- joys playing basketball and football. Jaycee Hail The Estill County Mid- dle School Youth Servic- es Center Student of the Week is Jaycee Hail. She is the daughter of Amber and Adam. Jaycee is cur- rently in the 6th grade and enjoys hanging out with her friends, draw- ing, and talking. Photos courtesy of Abby Winkle On Saturday, March 18, 2017, during the regular scheduled meeting of the Elisha Witt Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Kaylee Col- lins was presented the DAR Good Citizenship Award. This award is presented to a high school senior who must have the qualities of dependability, service, lead- ership and patriotism. Kaylee, a senior at Estill County High School has demonstrated these quali- ties through her involve- ment in her church, Beta Club, Leadership Team, Fu- ture Problem Solving and Youth Salute Program. She has also worked as a Veteri- nary Assistant at the Animal Clinic of Estill County. Kaylee, the daughter of Ricky and Shelia Collins, has been awarded the Rob- inson Scholar 2016. She will attend the University of Kentucky this fall. Upon her graduation from UK, she plans to attend Auburn University and pursue her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After the presentation program, refreshments were served by hostesses Janice and Ellen Bush to: Kay- lee Collins, Shelia Collins (Kaylee’s mother), Betty Harris (Kaylee’s grand- mother) Faye Reece, Susan Hawkins, Bobby Carol No- land, Fredia Blackwell and Myra Williams. Two bicycles were donated by Irvine Masonic Lodge #137 F & AM and two by Stafford Masonic Lodge #562 F & AM. The Irvine Chap- ter of the Order of the Eastern Star #357 donated four helmets. The bicycles and helmets were donated to the Estill Springs Elementary School. These will be given to two girls and two boys that have at- tended school all year without any unexcused absences. The bicy- cles will be awarded at a drawing that will be held at the end of the 2017 school year.
