Introduction

The experts say understanding

human nature is one of the most

important aspects of life. The

reason why we believe it is so is

because more than 99% of the

population on earth doesn’t

practice this and fail miserably at

understanding other people as well

as themselves.

As a result, poor relationships, bad

childhoods, misunderstandings, vicious upbringing cycles are passed down from one

generation to another.

That was why this book was created. The enneagram is one of the most powerful tools of

ancient wisdom used in self discovery and personal development. The results from the

enneagram is extremely accurate and tells the strengths, weaknesses, core motivations,

moods, mannerisms and basically everything about a person’s personality type.

Do not underestimate the power of the information in this book because one thing that life

teaches us is this – human beings are wired to build and form relationships with others.

Hence, 90% of happiness is dependent on how we deal with people.

We hope you will be greatly blessed and grow more consciously as you open your mind to

a whole new world.

Did You Know There Are 9 Types Of

People In The World?

Consider that in this world that everybody is the same.

The tremendous amount of human beings living today all belong

to one species or family: Homo sapiens or human beings. We all

have 2 ears, a mouth, a nose… well you get the picture.

As with any other species, there are differences among individual

human beings, from the size we are and the shape we are to the

color of our skin tone and the color of our eyes. However we are

much more alike than we are different from one another. We are,

as a matter of fact, amazingly similar.

We all have roots going back to the fact that we have all been

created as brothers and sisters. We have all been created as

smaller parts in the big picture that make up this world.

This ancient heritage is yours and we have the choice of how we decide to live our lives.

Consider also that we are all completely unique with our own fingerprint and DNA.

We're all unique people with unique talents to offer. And what makes us unique is the path

we choose, for no two individuals have traveled the same path; no two individuals have

gone through the exact same troubles or advantages.

No two individuals have traveled in the precise same direction at the precise same time in

their lives. And no two individuals have the exact same view or version of their life story or

their journey.

Page 6: The Enneagram Exposed

Enneagram Exposed Page 6

Every individual has their own unequalled gifts to provide, however occasionally we don't

value our gifts or even recognize what they are and consequently we don't develop our

gifts to their full possibility, or at all.

That's where understanding the self comes in. Understanding self helps us to trust in

ourselves and encourage ourselves to grow into the greatest version of ourselves. And

when we do, that's when we fulfill our greatest potential and have our most outstanding

talents to offer.

Our talents are unique as they reflect our

individual unequalled life journey. And our life

journey impacts what we have to provide and

how we give those gifts to other people.

Every human provides a unique combination of

skills, self-confidence, energy, groundedness,

creative thinking, thoughtfulness, maturity,

merriment, talent, receptiveness, knowledge,

focus, experience, patience, friendliness,

forgivingness, understanding, acceptance,

dependability, gentleness, power, motivation,

dedication, sincerity, truthfulness,

perceptiveness and compassion.

Not everybody will react to the gifts that we have to offer as different individuals will react

to different things. That's why it is great to be unique!

Page 7: The Enneagram Exposed

Enneagram Exposed Page 7

But most important of all:

Consider that there are certain type of human beings that think, feel and act in

similar patterns with some clusters of people but different from many others.

20 years of research has shown

that there are 9 types of people.

9 of which has their own distinct

style when it comes to dealing

with people, life and success.

This also known as the

Enneagram.

The Enneagram may be seen as

a set of 9 distinguishable

personality types, with every

number on the Enneagram standing for one type. It's usual to discover a bit of yourself in

all 9 of the types, but one of them ought to stick out as being closest to you. That is your

primary personality type.

Everybody comes out of childhood with one of the 9 types high-and-mighty their

personality, with an innate disposition and other pre-natal factors being the main things

that determine our type.

You see, we're born with a dominant type. Afterwards, this inherent orientation mostly

determines the ways in which we learn to adjust to our early surroundings. It likewise

seems to lead to particular unconscious preferences towards our parental figures, however

why this happens, we still don't know.

Page 8: The Enneagram Exposed

Enneagram Exposed Page 8

Anyway, by the time kids are 4 or 5; their consciousness has grown sufficiently to have a

distinguished sense of self. While their identity is still changing, at this age youngsters start

to establish themselves and discover ways of fitting into the world on their own.

Therefore, our personalities

reflect all of the childhood

factors (including genetics)

that shaped its development.

Remember that all human

beings are all unique in their

DNA and certain patterns will

exist that is predictable.

Some of these people will be

alike in some ways.

Once you identify the cluster

you belong to, then things

become easier.

If you take a look at these

different personality types, you

will realize that different people

have different core fears and

motivations.

Page 9: The Enneagram Exposed

Enneagram Exposed Page 9

Why It Is Important To Know These

Personality Types?

Understanding one's Enneagram type,

and the additional types, impresses an

individual with the fact that their view

of the world isn't universal, nor should

it be. We all have the possibility to

provide something vital to the

universe, and to arouse aspects of

human experience in ourselves that

are alien to us a lot of the time.

We all have times where we feel idealistic, or fondness, or alienated, nervous, passive,

enthusiastic, belligerent, achieving, or observant. And there are conditions where an

approach different from our own is precisely needs to be used. A highly evolved individual

may employ the characteristics of any type at all, plunging into those abilities in order to

handle a scenario suitably and effectively, and on purpose.

And not because our society has browbeaten us out of being who we are. And not

because we feel ashamed of our innate dispositions. But because we've come to

understand ourselves, to face our obsessions and assumptions, and we've taken on the

scary, invigorating and ultimately freeing challenge of understanding them.

Page 10: The Enneagram Exposed

Enneagram Exposed Page 10

Everyone expects others to communicate through their ‘type’s’ language.

The problem with human nature is how everyone

expects others to communicate through their ‘type’s’

language. We expect that others will deal with us in a

way that we will understand.

Among the main facts of life that we all must learn is that

our happiness hinges upon the quality of our relationships.

We don't do well in isolation. Having great relationships with mates, friends, loved ones,

and colleagues, with everybody we meet and interact with, is essential if we're to be happy

and satisfied.

Our relationships are likewise bear upon our emotional and spiritual wellness: the level we

may have sound, growing relationships is impacted by our understanding as well as our

spiritual maturity. It's really hard for a needy, fearful individual to have substantial

relationships, whereas a gracious and understanding individual most often does. Our own

understanding of ourselves and others gives us freedom from destructive responses and is

the surest way to have and nurture relationships-and to give as well as get in them.

The Enneagram may help us get much clearer about our relationship values, what we

expect, communicating and argument styles, thinking and choice patterns, ways of settling

conflicts, concerns, defenses, and assorted coping techniques, to name simply some of

the factors that impact relationships. These go for to marriage, friendships, and work

relationships to all sorts of interactions. Every personality type thinks differently, has

dissimilar values and approaches, and wants dissimilar things in a relationship.

Great relationships hinge upon our being able to understand ourselves and other people,

to consider our own needs and the needs of other people, and to live with the legitimacy of

other people’s point of view while expressing our own. We have to be able to treat other

Page 11: The Enneagram Exposed

Enneagram Exposed Page 11

people as we want to be treated, even if we haven't been treated so good in the past

ourselves.

Conflict may ignite from the littlest word or

action and may touch off destructive reactions

and actions. Unsolved or poorly navigated

conflict may damage and even ruin

relationships. Conflict doesn't have to be

destructive though. Addressed effectively,

conflict may actually contribute to mightier,

deeper relationships and may help to address

ongoing issues and concerns. Effective

communication skills serve a central role in successfully settling conflict, both in the

household and in the workplace.

Among the basic communication skills for settling conflict successfully is that of

understanding how to navigate an argument effectively. This includes understanding the

personality type of the person you are in conflict with and keeping the focus on one issue

and avoiding personal attacks.

Gaining resolution demands addressing your true concerns and reaching the core of the

conflict. Active listening skills, like talking less and asking questions, likewise play a role in

effectively solving conflict. All of this requires that you understand yourself and others.

Understand that people grow in different ways.

Every personality type has a different notion of what it means to be successful and grow

personally. Self-knowledge is one basic goal that will help everybody accomplish personal

success and growth.

A lot of people are hung up on someone else's idea of what is needed to be successful,

and they're unaware of what is really important to them. This is totally normal.

Page 12: The Enneagram Exposed

Enneagram Exposed Page 12

We all have significant role models and influencers in our lives that might have core values

that are rather different from our own. If that is the case, it's crucial to realize that the

discrepancy between what we have been taught is really significant and what we

personally believe to be really significant is due to a difference in perspective.

If we spend our time and effort attempting to meet someone

else's idea of success, and disregard or minimize any

conflicting messages from our own mind, then we'll find

ourselves depleted and unhappy. Recognizing what is really

important to us is a major step toward accomplishing personal success and growth.

Break out of self-defeating patterns and vicious cycles.

While bettering our self-knowledge and understanding our personality type may be very

liberating, we shouldn't throw away the rules of the society in which we live. We have to

understand that other people's moral principles are no less important than our own. And

we have to understand and accept that we live in a culture in which particular personality

types and actions are more appropriate for certain tasks. This is another reason why it's

important to understand the personality types.

For instance, there are conditions in which it's more advantageous and effective to

demonstrate compassion and caring, instead of impersonal logic. As well, there are

conditions that need using impersonal logic to arrive at a decision, in which the more

subjective point of view is incorrect and ineffective.

Page 13: The Enneagram Exposed

Enneagram Exposed Page 13

Individuals with a preference for caring will

have an advantage over logic in conditions

that call for compassion and awareness of

other's emotions. On the other hand,

individuals with a preference for logic will have an instinctive advantage over people who

use compassion in conditions that call for the power to arrive at a choice based on

impersonal data.

As we learn about our personality type and the types of other people, we're empowered

with an understanding of why individuals respond differently in different conditions. In this

way we can better accept and understand individual’s actions that are different from ours.

These insights are super useful and powerful to us as people.

All the same, if we're concerned with growing as people, we have to take care not to utilize

personality type as an excuse for our incorrect behavior. While it's useful to observe that

another individual’s incorrect behavior might be due to their personality type, we can't

utilize the same reasoning on ourselves.

We ought to realize that our personality type has failings, but we have to utilize that

knowledge to conquer those failings instead of to excuse pitiful behavior. We can't be

responsible for others conduct, however we may control our own.

Understanding Predictable Patterns

Through Their Lenses

Each of the 9 types sees the world differently. It is built

into their neurological system. It is seen by their facial

expression. You can sense it from their energy. It is not

what they say but WHY they say it based on their primary

motivations, they perceive the world in this fixed pattern

and in order to get through to them, you have to speak their language.

# 1 Reformers. The fundamental motivation of the 1 is to be correct, and to prevent being

incorrect. Reformers are the most obsessively rational of the types, and the perfectionist

is a different name for this type. Generally 1's are driven by their "inner critic", an inner set

of measures that tends to be rather rigorous, and independent of what others tell them.

Therefore, they are self-critical, and likewise critical of other people. Ones get much of

their vigor from anger, and commonly, this is channeled into discipline, organizing, a

mighty work ethic and a love of fair-mindedness, justice, and truth. But they can get rigid

in their thinking, trapped by their own rules.

#2 Helpers center their lives on giving and getting love. This personality is among the most

emotionally expressive, and among the most centered on human relationships.

Commonly 2's bring a special interpersonal touch to nearly everything they do,

empowering other people. It's uncommon (although not impossible) to find 2’s in high-

profile leadership positions.

Being looked up to is really important to 3's - they're competitive and put great value on

winning. In public, 3s project high self-respect. However the 3's craving for external

approval might make them image conscious. They may privately feel insecure.

More than any other type, 4s wish to understand themselves. They might look at their own

emotions deeply, searching for authenticity. They don't settle for the average or shallow,

Page 15: The Enneagram Exposed

Enneagram Exposed Page 15

and are disturbed that most everybody around them does. The significance they attach to

their inner feelings makes them extremely individualistic and original.

5's identify more powerfully with their thoughts than any other personality. To other

people, 5's are known for their crisp intellect, mighty need for independence and privacy,

and strength of their intellectual interests. 5's are intensely interested in explaining the

universe and predicting what will bechance next.

6's place safety and trust most importantly before anything else, making them one of the

most loyal of the Enneagram personalities. Naturally, each type's greatest power is

likewise their greatest failing, and the 6's capacity for allegiance may be devastating if they

place their faith into something malicious or undependable.

To a strange degree, 7's live a life of action that's founded on seeking experience, going

after plans, dreams, and visions. this makes them exceedingly exuberant, multi-talented,

diverse, curious, and experienced, with a mighty appreciation for beauty, expressive style,

and artistic flair.

8's come across as the hardest of the Enneagram personalities. At work, 8's may be

assertive to a fault - they like to speak their minds flat out, make short but forceful choices,

and respect other people who do the same. They require and need a high degree of self-

reliance, and if they feel controlled by authority, they frequently demonstrate an

unmistakable noncompliant streak.

9's come across as patient individuals who are great listeners, adaptable and

accommodative to other people. 9's have a strange ability to "go with the flow" of their

environment, and a want to be connected with their environment.

strained.

Becoming A Better Version Of Your Type

I come alive each morning knowing I

may be something more than I was

yesterday. I understand I may be

anything I wish to be as long as I center

on that goal. I try to make each day

another step toward succeeding at my

dreams. There's no better day than

today to begin being the best you.

Each day that you have, you have the

chance to make unbelievable things

occur. Yep, there are almost billions of

individuals on the planet, but you are

able to still make a difference either in

your life story or someone else’s. What

I'm asking of you is that you make one

little attempt to make yourself better in

some manner for the next week and, hopefully, continue this life style shift.

Why should you get to be a greater you?

I'm assuming you're an amazing individual right now. You have achieved a lot of amazing

things and done a lot for other people in your life. All the same, I feel that if we aren’t

endeavoring daily to be a better individual, we start to feel comfortable in the day-to-day

norm. Like a lot of you, I detest the day-to-day norm. I cherish making each day different

than the last and live something different as frequently as possible. With that, we ought to

Page 29: The Enneagram Exposed

all challenge ourselves to be greater so that we go forward to grow and develop at

whatever place we are in our life story.

What are the advantages?

By trying to be a greater you, you will be more pleased, more productive, and satisfy more

aspirations than if you decided to be stagnant. You'll begin to see fresh opportunities that

once were never a reality nor a possibility. You'll meet fresh and exciting individuals that

might give more meaning to your life story. These advantages just touch the surface of the

favorable impact of trying to be a better you.

Why would you listen to me about becoming a greater me?

That’s a great question and I'm glad you asked. I'm not perfect. I

have a lot of flaws. All the same, daily, I attempt to be a better

individual as I know that by doing so I'm adding value to my

existence and hopefully, to other peoples too. I'm bringing more

value to the amazing gift of life.

If there's anyone that may strive to be a better individual, it is me and it's you. So, if I'm

seeing the positives from attempting to be a better individual, I know you are able to gain

from attempting this little action too. I do know that I have the skills to assist other people

in a modest way. You don’t have to take any of this advice. However, it never hurts to try

something new that could just better your life. The worst case scenario is that I don’t help

you in any way and you go back to your already amazing life.

You see if you check into the Enneagram Exposed book, you will find out things that you

never thought you would learn about your personality type and how you can become a

better person.

Conclusion

So the Enneagram, for starters, is about discovering a basic habit of mind, body, and heart

that inhibits an individual from getting at deeper states of pleasure, happiness, power,

aliveness, serenity, deep connectedness with other people, a sweet valuing of one's

Being, a sense of strength and competency in the world, the power to love at depth, and to

receive the profound preciousness of oneself and life.

Then comes the evolution of “presence” which is frequently achieved through other

practices designed to quiet the brain, to open the heart, to let an individual start sensing

their body and inhabiting it.

With a practice in place, one starts the journey of unearthing the Soul, of moving through

whatsoever shocks, sufferings, mistakes and sorrows that have caused an person to

abandon their capacity to be in the here and now, to sense themselves, to feel the

profoundness and beauty of their soul, to waken to what is their crucial identity, the very

stuff of their real nature and soul. The Enneagram supplies a map back to this cherished

material, and every type has a different path.
