Thanksgiving Baskets
We are collecting items for Thanksgiving baskets for families in need at Gloria Dei and Davie Elementary. If you can help with our Thanksgiving baskets please refer to the individual class assignments that were sent home with your child. You may also choose to help by donating money for gift cards or perishable items to complete the holiday dinner. Donations can be made until Wednesday, Nov. 13th. Thank you for your generous support!
PLEASE NOTE: The ELC playground is only
for children who are 3 years old and up
and currently under the care of Gloria
Dei. Siblings do not belong and must
remain with the parent. Thank you.
YOU ARE INVITED
Please join our students (pre 3’s, 3K, 4K)
on Tues., Nov. 26th for the 10 a. m. chapel
service as they will be performing their
Thanksgiving play, followed by a
Thanksgiving feast. The children have
been working very hard rehearsing for
this special event!
THE SECOND QUARTER MISSION PROJECT is “How Can I Understand?” - Bible Books for Ethiopia.
For every $5.00 donated the Lutheran Heritage
Foundation can print one Bible storybook in one of
the many languages of Ethiopia. For young children,
these brightly illustrated, easy-to-read Bible storybooks
can tell them in a simple way about the Savior Jesus
and His love for them. Thank you for your generosity
in supporting this valuable mission.
Jumpstart’s READ FOR THE RECORD brings together millions of children each year to read the same book on the same day to raise awareness of early literacy. This year the 3K and 4K students of Gloria Dei enjoyed listening to “Thank You, Omu!” a sweet story about a generous elderly woman who makes a fantastic pot of thick stew. Each child then received a book to take home!
