Office Faculty Spotlight
They said they like working in the office because they
get to have a lot of interaction with the kids and parents.
Although their day to day circumstances are very different,
everyday they get to interact with teachers and students.
They like our school because of the environment and family
that we have here at SAA. They also like the art all around
the school.
Leadership Quote

smile and say hi ”

Our Lunch Ladies
“Do you like working here?”
“Yes, because it is fun dealing with the kids, keeps our day
interesting, the hours worked are great, awesome dish-
washer, and we have a good team.”
“What do you do as a lunch lady?”
“We prepare and cook food, serve the kids, herd and make
sure the kids have a good lunch experience, and even
though we shouldn’t, we clean up messes kids make.”
“What do you like about the school?”
“The community and spirit of the school, the staff, stu-
dents, and pretty much everything. It’s fun to be apart of.”

Mrs. Velasquez
My perfect weekend is 70o, sunny weather and getting
to be with my baby. My favorite pastime is baseball, be-
cause my dad played mini league and kind of pushed it on
me. Three words to describe me are;
“Awesome” -Mrs. Carbine
“Sassy” -Mrs. Law
“Funny” -Mrs. Robinson
My favorite thing in the
world is family. If I could meet
anyone in the world (dead or
alive) it would be Mr. Whipple
and his band. I like our school
because I can be personal with
each student and get to know
them.

When I asked Kyler what his
dream vacation is he said, “A
cruise ship to Alabama with a
roller coaster, unlimited ice
cream and pizza.” Then I asked
him what his favorite class is
and why; he said, “Art Founda-
tions 1 because I’m bad at it
but it’s fun.” I also asked him
what his favorite trip is and he said,” Branson Missouri ,because I
went to a wax museum and took pictures with Taylor Swift and
Dwayne da Rock Johnson. I also went to a mirror maze and ran in-
to a bunch of mirrors.” Finally, I asked him who inspires him he
said, “my brother.” And his Dream Job is to be a Nuclear Engineer,
because “it seems amazing and I like science,”
Kyler Carbine
When I asked Mikayla what her
dream vacation is she said, “going
to Hawaii.” Then I asked her what
her favorite class is and she said,
“Utah Studies, because Mrs. Farns-
worth makes it fun.” I also asked
her what her favorite trip is and she
said, “in Kindergarten when she
was five and went to Disneyland.”
Then I asked her who inspires her and she said , “her mom be-
cause she is strong, independent, an amazing women and my
mom.” Finally, I asked her what her dream job is and she said, “A
teacher so I can help others.”

Taylor Rawlings
Taylor Rawlings is an amazing actress! She
loves to draw, sleep, and binge watch
Netflix. She is an amazing singer, and she
is supper funny! Taylor comes to school
because she loves the people here and the classes. If she could have one job
in the world, she would love to be an author. Some of her favorite books in-
clude: The Percy Jackson series, The Hunger Games, and The Maze Runner. If
Taylor had three wishes she would wish to stay this age (14) forever! She
would also wish that she would be better at answering questions. Lastly, she
thinks it would be cool if she had the power to blow things up, just by looking
at them. If Taylor had $1,000,000 she would buy the Pacific Ocean, and prob-
ably create a toll where you had to pay to cross it, to get more money of
course. Something interesting about her Is she hates shopping, and she hates
lasagna. She said that most children eat it because Garfield eats it, but she
hates it and she is probably going to ruin her children. You really need to get
to know Taylor, she is so funny, so amazing, and she has the most beautiful
voice!

Isaac Allred
Isaac Allred is an amazing actor he has starred in; Aladdin (as Aladdin) Beauty and the beast (as Lafou) Fairly Potter, The music man, and many many more! He is so talented! Isaac comes to SAA because he feels he can be himself; when in a public school he feels he can’t be himself. He is dramatic, and enthusi-astic and there are people like him here
at SAA. In Isaac’s free time; “if I get free time,” he said, he loves to go camping and fishing and being outdoors, if he can he loves to ride his bike around the neighborhood. If he could have one job, he would like to be the general of the US army because he is a good leader, so he would be good at commanding people. He also has good strategies when it comes to things like that, and he knows a lot of people that are in the military. If Isaac had three wishes he would wish; for three more wishes, to be the next Dwayne Johnson, to meet Taylor swift and kiss her on the cheek. With his extra three wishes, he would wish to be a millionaire, own the first flying car, and for all the Disney char-acters to come to life so he can meet them, he would specifically like to meet Aladdin and flounder. If Isaac had a million dollars, he would buy Walmart so that he could get free stuff and get more money, and he would build his own theatre and put on productions. Something interesting about him is he loves sushi! He is also very sarcastic, and no one is sarcastic like me, he is willing to get out of his comfort zone, talk to people and ask them questions. Isaac’s spirit animal would most likely be an elk because they are smart in their own way, they are leaders, and they are strong willed.
His favorite sport is badminton. His favorite
class is math. He said, “I can calculate math in my
head.” He watches TV in his free time. I asked
him what his dream vacation was and he said,
“Go to Tokyo. There’s a bunch of stuff and peo-
ple there.” I also asked him what his favorite hol-
iday is and he said, “Christmas. My whole family
is together, I like snow, and I get presents, but
mainly my family.”
Her favorite sport is soccer. I asked her
what her favorite class is and she said, “Band. I
like making music and how it sounds.” When I
asked her what she does in her free time she
said, “I like to make craft things out of small
things like beads and cardboard.” Her dream va-
cation is , “Going to the ocean. I’ve gone to it
before, but I’m still amazed by it.” Her favorite
holiday is Christmas because, “Every one is hap-
py and there are Christmas songs and presents .

Yearbook/ Newsletter
Advisor: Mrs. Robinson
Yearbook Editors: Hope Mickey, Makenna Wilson, and Ashley Bangerter
Newsletter Editor: Saige Stock
Assistant Newsletter Editor: Alivia Schilling
It takes a lot to be a part of the Yearbook class. At the beginning of the
year, each student is assigned a position; staff member, secretary, assis-
tant Yearbook editor, yearbook editor, assistant Newsletter editor, or
Newsletter editor. The Yearbook editors assign each student 3-4 pages
for them to design throughout the year. On top of completing their own
pages in the Yearbook, they are also in charge of making sure that each
staff member is doing what they need to do in order to make a Yearbook
that is worth buying. The Newsletter editors make sure that each staff
member has something to report on for each month. They also edit and
assemble the newsletter every month on top of completing each of their
pages for the Yearbook.

High School!
Every year, the teachers, principals, staff, eighth graders, seventh
graders, and all other people at SAA kick out all those crazy ninth
graders and force them to go to high school. Fortunately, high
school is a happy place where all your dreams come true. Lots of
gross love. Strange friends. A fresh start. Tons of work. Inappro-
priateness. Dances. Driving. Dating. Clubs. Bad grades, good
grades, and all the grades in-between. Idiots. Inconsiderate
teachers. Nerds. Jocks. Hipsters. Musicians. Artists. Actors. Sing-
ers. Writers. Leaders. Dancers. Divas. Wallflowers. Brats. And all
others.
Okay, maybe that’s not completely true, but all the ninth graders
will have a great High School experience.
May your journey on this long, bumpy road take you to amazing
places. We hope you guys have fun at whatever High School you
decide to attend. May it be Syracuse, NUAMES, Clearfield, Roy,
Davis, Layton, Northridge, or any other. Everyone wishes you the
best of luck. We will definitely miss you.
Summer Activities
Summer is coming up fast and we are already
making plans! I asked some people from our
school what they are going to be doing over sum-
mer vacation. 30% of them are going to sleep and
play video games over the summer, 13% are play-
ing with friends over summer vacation, 10% are
going to travel or go camping over the summer,
and 47% are going to do a combination of all
three. Colton Williams said, “Summer is fun and
relaxing because there’s no work and you get to
have fun with family.”
