The Diocese of Raleigh Catholic Charismatic Renewal The Flame Karen Moore On Saturday, January 21 st , St. Paul, hosted by One in the Spirit Prayer Group in New Bern, hosted the Regional Diocesan Prayer Gathering. We were mightily blessed by the Lords Presence and that of His Mother. As we sang and worshipped, people were healed of depression, lower back pain (that was me!) and hearing issues. One of our group had a fainting spell, and the Lord used that to teach us about instant reaction. We are to act as Jesus would have acted immediately, in love, without fear of who is with us or what we think people will say about us. He said we are His army of intercessors. We are to stand tall and speak to diseases and situations with authority. Remember that the Centurion was found to have faith greater than any Jesus had encountered because he knew about authority and was comfortable asking Jesus to heal His servant if He would only say the word”. We are to say the word, so people can be healed of all matter of maladies. We are to realize that the Spirit of God is waiting for us to say the word so He can work. Jesus said Ask and you shall receive”. We know that we have no power of our own, and when we speak we are speaking in the power of the Spirit. Too often that is why we dont speak. We fear we are speaking on our own, that nothing will happen and we will look foolish. Is that why we are not seeing the signs and wonders that accompanied the Apostles and Disciples and are promised to us? Are we afraid to put our names in the same sentence as the Apostles? Yet, what was the mission of the Apostles? To share the good news that Jesus is the Messiah of God and that He has sent His Spirit to ALL people, not just great prophets. That is our mission as well. He told us that He loves, loves, loves us – as a people, but more importantly as His individual creation. He told us not to fear the evil one who goes about roaring, because roaring is only a scare tactic! Lets roar right back at him, sending him back to the pits from which he came. Be the first to pray. Be the first to say the word. Pray for Marys intercession and call on the angels for extra assistance. We are the children of the Most High God. Can we act like it? How Great is our God!

What is Unbound and Freedom in Christ?

Debra Rony

“For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm there-fore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1

What you are yoked to in your life? Worry, fear, anxiety, unforgiveness, grief, despair, disease, sickness, hopelessness, and traumatic experiences are all examples of areas in our life that we may struggle with. We can be chained through our past physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, unable to move forward with our lives. No matter how hard we try it seems like nothing we do helps. Or if it does, it is only temporary. How can we overcome these things on our own? The answer is simple: we can’t, but God can!.

In Isaiah 64 the bible says that Jesus has been sent to “bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. “ The Unbound ministry is a healing and deliverance ministry devoted to living out this verse by helping people to be set free from all the things that keep them in bondage. They focus on people, not evil spirits, and offer a safe and loving environment for ministry. To have true freedom in Christ is to have Jesus as our Lord and Savior, to have Him heal us mind, body, and spirit, and to walk out our faith life unencumbered by our past mistakes, sins, and wounds. The Unbound prayer model for doing this involves a 5 step process which are “keys” to unlock the chains of our bondage and release the fullness of God’s blessings in our lives. The 5 keys are Repentance/Faith, Freedom in Christ, Renunciation, Authority, and The Father’s Blessing.

At the Unbound conferences, people learn about the 5

keys and then are given the opportunity to experience this ministry using this prayer model delivered by trained ministry teams. Neal and Janet Lozano started Heart of the Father ministries in 1997 and have travelled all over the world presenting this prayer model in conferences and have had unprecedented results. They also offer ministry training to priests, deacons, and lay people on how to reproduce this model in their own churches. Here are just a few of the testimonies of people who have attended the conferences:

“The team was great; they showed me love, respect, and encouragement. I couldn’t thank them enough, especially the leader. I’ve been freed from anxiety, depression, and panic attacks.”

“The time I was prayed over and ministered to lifted years of abuse and self-loathing off of my shoulders! Over the years I had many traumas that left me with no identity. Through the healing ministry on Satur-day afternoon I was restored to full life. I thank God for the opportunity to be at the Unbound conference. All of the cords of abuse were severed, and I am left completely free.”

“The Unbound: Freedom in Christ conference was a life-changing experience for my family.”

We encourage you to take this opportunity to register for the Unbound conference coming to Charlotte on March 10th and 11th and to reclaim your identity in Christ! For more information on Unbound please visit heartofthefather.com

***Please note that Friday March 10th is reserved

ONLY for those interested in receiving training for

using this prayer model for prayer ministry at their

own church/group. Saturday is the full conference

Nicole Muratore The 2017 Winter Jam Tour was a powerful and memorable experience for those of all ages who attended. Thousands of people filled into the PNC Arena and upon entering the building, Christ’s presence was already strong and persisted throughout the night. Newsong band

members hosted the show, spreading the excitement and anticipation of what was to come. Every musician and speaker who took the stage made a lasting impression on the audience; the next was better than the last. It was a pleasant surprise to see the great number of young people in the audience, some as young as 5 years-old. The energy in the room was palpable as twelve acts performed; three of whom performed a ‘pre-jam’ before the official start of the concert. Those who resonated with me were Newsong, Colton Dixon, Tenth Avenue North, Andy Mineo, Sadie Robertson, and Britt Nicole. I felt an overarching message throughout the course of the evening. Even though God is always there for us and loves us unconditionally, he points us to our legacy in the world. Sadie Robertson spoke about David and Goliath and the meaning of what it is to be a champion or leave a legacy. Champions win and only win for themselves. A legacy makes a difference in the world and will leave something behind for future generations. I began to think about how many of us are living as champions and are only in it to win, which can apply to so many aspects of life. However, after our earthly

time is up, all we really leave behind is our memory. We should all strive to be a legacy be-cause God has a plan for each and every one of us. In-between songs, Britt Nicole left her bible at her feet during her set where she continually went back to reference meaning-ful verses to connect to the concert. It was raw but genuine and contributed to the whole of the arena being lifted in faith and love. The musi-cians each had a story to tell about their experiences on the tour within the last 10 days. They told stories of young teenagers accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, stories of people who struggled financially only to be supported by their church or fellowship community, as well as stories of sponsorship for children in other countries. What I loved about the Winter Jam Tour was the passion and peace it brought to me and my ability to leave it ready to spread the word of God with my loved ones and close friends. God led me to go and enjoy it that night with a great group of people. I can’t wait to attend again next year!
