“Vision Without Action…Is Just a Dream Action Without Vision…Just Passes the Time

But, Vision and Action…Can Change the World” -Joel A. Barker

At Cygnus World School our Vision is to nurture the torch bearers of tomorrow who will have a well formed rather than just a well filled mind, who will have the ability to think and make decisions, who will have the confidence to assume leadership roles and who take pride in being Indian. As a result CWS tends to go to every extent to achieve holistic development of our children where we guide students to develop capacities, acquire knowledge and virtues and develop into worthwhile citizens of the world. We try to encourage our children to unleash their fullest potential through lots of Co-curricular activities thus ensuring that „Vision and Action‟ together will change the world into a better place to live in. Our education system is striving for excellence in every possible field and achieving it in a spectacular way. Besides rigorous scholastic programmes we seek to develop and nurture the different facets of a child. A committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, caring and co-operative parents blend harmoniously to create a child- centric school. We strongly believe that every child is unique in nature with varying needs. Like Cygnus, all our houses represent various constellations

Pegasus– A mythical flying horse

Cygnus, the swan-shaped modern, northern constellation, aptly personifies our school‟s core aim of nurturing each and every child to be a star. The swan is a carrier of Saraswati– The Goddess of Learning, similarly our school is the vehicle of education, intelligence and skills.

Phoenix– A mythical bird which has the ability to rise from its own

ashes

Aquila– A powerful eagle attached to Lord Zeus.

Orion– A skilled hunter named after the Greek God.

Class Presentation Grade III

It was a proud moment for the students of grade III as they held a Class presentation for their parents and

grandparents. At school students participate in various activities like Show and Tell, JAM, Earth Day etc. Snippets from

the same were presented before the parents. The English Play “ Just Mabel” had a beautiful message while the Hindi

skit was very hilarious and had the audience in splits.

At CWS, students have been always encouraged to participate and present so as to develop their communication skills,

build confidence and enhance their presenting skills.

The parent‟s feedback was “the presentation took them back to their childhood days”. The event was a great success as

all the parents were enthralled and overwhelmed by the performance of our students.

“ It was a great experience for us. I was a bit nervous initially but slowly did a good job due to

practice. I liked the character of Mohit in the Hindi skit, it was vey funny - Kavya Aga III D

Earth Day

A day to understand &

reflect on Earth‟s condition. A day for meaningful action oriented activities.

All the activities conducted were based on TEACH-LEARN-ENGAGE principles

Earth Day activity at school. It was

quite different and I had never done

such an activity before. I was excited

holding and seeing smog from inside the

bottle — Padmajaraje Gaekwad IV B

The students of Grade III to VII

had a fun filled morning as they

headed towards ‗Champaner Fort‘ for their field trip. Stu-

dents visited the ‗Jami Masjid‖

and the ―Royal Enclosure‖. They

had loads of thought provoking

questions as to why it was in

ruins?, What happened to people who lived here?, What

does World Heritage Site

mean?, Why do we have to

maintain these ruins? etc.

Students excitedly explored the fort

and shared their findings with their

friends and teachers. The purpose

of this field trip was essentially to

educate, which was achieved but

also became a fun bonding

experience for everyone involved.
