Matthew 2437 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of

man be.38 For as in the days that were

before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in

61-0305 - Beyond The Curtain Of Time

I am more convinced than ever in my life, that it will take perfect love to

enter that place. There was no jealousy, no tiredness, no sickness, no

old age, no death, only supreme beauty and joy.

Whatever you do, lay aside everything else until you get

perfect love. Get to where you can love everybody, even every enemy. No matter if the plane is rocking, the lightning is flashing, or the guns of

the enemy are upon you, these things do not matter; get perfect love.

Now, the first thing I want to say is: Jesus never lived for Himself. His Life was spent for others. That's perfectly Eternal Life. When you say you go to church and you do good things, that's fine. But when you live your life to yourself, you haven't Eternal Life.

Eternal life is living for others.

1005-56 I Corinthians 13 says this: "When that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away with."

So all these little things of jumping up-and-down like a kid, trying to talk in

tongues, and all these other things, when that which is perfect... And we do have

today, by God's help, the perfect interpretation of the Word with

Divine vindication. Then that which is in part is done away with. "When I was a

child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child; but when I become a man, I put

away childish things."

Then he said, "That which is in part will be done away with when that which is

over things with them.

You see, God could not push us through a little pipe, pull us out on the other end, and then say, "Blessed is he that overcometh."

You had nothing to overcome; He just pushed you through. But you've got to

E-29 Abraham was promised a child, but he must maintain this promise for

twenty-five years, the ups-and-downs that he had and temptations in those

And Israel was promised a promised land, but they had to fight for every inch of it. "Wherever the soles of your foot treads upon, that have I given you," God said to

Joshua. It was all there. The land was there, and God gave it to them; but they must

fight for it.

I've been behind the pulpit going on thirty-one years. And every inch of that has been a fight, constantly. It certainly has. But we must fight if we must reign. So we find out

that the bride has to make herself ready, be willing to "lay aside every weight that does so easily beset us, that we might run with

patience the race that's set before us." We must lay them aside ourself. We can't

say, "God, You come, lay them aside for us." We got to do that ourselves.
