We will take the Peter’s Pence Collection which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world.
The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war,
oppression, and disasters. Please be generous. For more information,
visit www.usccb.org/peters-pence.
At St. Theresa We will have our monthly Debt Reduction
Collection. The Peter’s Pence Collection will be moved to July 7th and 8th.
Many thanks for the financial support that you provide our parish each week.
Friends,
As we work toward establishing the Catholic Church in the towns of the Contoocook River Valley and the New England College Campus, the leadership has to be broadened. To this end, I would like to transition from two Parish Councils serving St. Mary and St. Theresa to a joint Pastoral Leadership Council. Here are some thoughts for prospective members:
1. Will it be worth my while? What we learn together about leadership in the Church will be found to apply to many areas of life and many work situations.
2. Why the change? We need to move from Maintenance to Mission. We do need to maintain everything we are doing, from good and someday great week-end liturgies to Baptisms, weddings and funerals, and social events for each parish. But we need to grow, and that takes place by developing a healthy Church that helps both and established members and new members to come to know Christ, to grow in Christ, to worship Christ, to serve Christ, and to share Christ. Evangelization is the new name of the game. Our mission is to evangelize everyone living within the boundaries of the two parishes, and to follow it up.
3. Can we do anything practical and measurable this year? A Leadership Team would be charged with finding ways for us to be more welcoming. Our communication tools, including bulletin, website, mailings, and social media need to be included in the mix.
4. How do we evangelize? The Alpha Course has proven to be a very effective tool to get us started.
5. What about our youth? We have a good Junior High Edge program. We need to develop a high school ministry. We are exploring some options, but we need new blood to move forward.
6. When would we meet? I invite whoever is interested in helping to exercise leadership in our parishes, to work on a Strategic Pastoral Plan, and to engage in one of the three ministries referred to above: Welcoming, Alpha, or Youth.
Meetings would be held at St. Theresa on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on July 16, August 6, and August 20. One or two Mondays this fall would provide a regular
monthly schedule to follow. Please RSVP to [email protected]
.
Thanks for your faith, interest, and dedication to the cause of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Fr. Marcel
The family and friends of Norman Trottier would like to thank everyone who helped
with the Mercy Meal after Norman's funeral. It was touching to have so many caring people
make an emotionally draining day so much easier. We felt showered with love! The food was delicious and plentiful. It was a way after the funeral to gather, bond and share memories
of Norman.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

SPIRITUAL
ADOPTEES
We are now in our sixth month. We have gained another pound. Our hand co-ordination has
improved and our thumb can now be moved in opposition to the fingers, that means we could grab something if we had something to grab. Our eyes are open and since the uterus now
allows some light to be seen, we are beginning to distinguish between lightness and darkness. We are beginning to have little deposits of fat which retain heat which will help to keep us
warm. Please continue to pray for us since we are only 24 weeks and still in danger of being
aborted. We pray that although our parents may be in need financially, they are looking forward to our birth in October. Please begin to prepare for our birth by purchasing items which may be
needed by our parents.
