The Method I took for the Extirpation of the Tumor was tllis: Having firE prepared her as before tlle Operarion for tlle Stone; when her lSladder was full, I made her firain as though -She was going tO
make \Mater, upon whicll I perceived the Tumor tO protrude a little; this I effcAually fccured from re- turrlin, into the Illadder by the Help of a crookcd N7ecdlc and Lit,ature paRed through the Tumor in different Dired:tions, and endcavouled to dra\v it cXut tlllougi tile Meatgs Urinars, but could not effeEt it by reaSoll of its Lar,cllcEs; fecing thls, I dilatcd tlle Megtgs Urinarigs on the rlghr Side by CUtt;I1g it upsrards about half way tox^ards tlle Neck, xvhcn by pulling the TUX11Qr forwards} I had fuffici- cllt room for tying a Ligature round its Batis, whicl x^7aS vcry bleoad.
