LAST WEEK’S VISITORS

Derrick & Dannah Johnson, Senatobia, MS

Chicken Strips, French Fries, Mac & Cheese, Salad & Dessert

THANK YOU

Dear Friends, Jesus came to Larry’s visitation at the church Sunday night. I could see him everywhere I looked. Larry’s family and friends were comforta-ble with Him. What a blessing it was to know that Larry’s friends and family loved Him too. My family and I want the church to know how grateful we are for the love and compassion showered on us at the time of Larry’s death. He loved you and would be pleased to know that you cared for him. Thank you for the prayers, cards, phone calls, texts, and food. They all helped us get through the shock of losing him. A special thanks to the ladies who prepared and served the meal for our family after the funeral. What a wonderful bless-ing they are to First Baptist Church. God bless you all as you continue your ministry. Much love to each of you. Elinor

UPCOMING DATES FOR KIDS

YOUTH NEWS

I want to stop and say thank you to all of you who help with our Children’s Choir Ministry. It certainly takes a lot of people to help in so many ways. We have a rotation team who give our children a smile, a couple of cookies and a drink, another rotation oversees our kids playing so they have a safe opportunity to play before choir begins, and another team helps with either our Preschool Choir, Music Makers (grades 1-3) and Young Musicians (grades 4-6). Our children’s choir has exploded this year as we have 30 on our Preschool Choir roll, 38 on our Music Makers Choir roll and 34 on our Young Musician Choir roll. I want to thank Rosemary and Garth Tindle for their wonderful leadership in our Preschool Choir along with their team of workers: Frances King, Ca-mille Massey, David Lunceford, Jan Miles and their newest team member Bren-na Bulliner. I would also like to thank Sylvia Alford for what a fantastic job she does in our Music Maker Choir along with her team: Mary Tindle and Caren Beuker. I would also like to thank Sharnee Howell for answering our prayers and helping me with handbells and Young Musicians each week. Also, thanks to Cindy Hale for coming and helping with our Poco Bell Choir (grades 1-3). We currently have 25 children in our Poco Bell Choir and they are doing great! There is so much for our new bell ringers to learn as we start learning how to ring bells and when you put 25 of them in a room together, it’s hard to stay focused and not get distracted. They are doing a great job! And our Caril-lon Bell Choir is working on an awesome challenging song. I am amazed at the level these students are proving themselves at and I know it will be exciting when they get to ring for our parents. October 20th during the evening worship service is our first “Ring and Sing” and you don’t want to miss this. Lots of excitement going on in our Children’s Choir. Come see and hear it! Randy
