The Camel with Five Humps and the Pink Emperor

There once was a boy who lived in China named Chris. Chriss parents had left him to find their fortune on the Silk Road.

The Silk Road was a trading route that ran from East to West from Asia to Europe. Many different products were traded such as sumptuous carpets, silks and spices.

Chris was lonely and decided to go and find his family. So he packed his bag and off he went heading West. On the way he saw people trading and also he saw a guy with a gun. Chris shouted Behind You! when all of a sudden he noticed the bad guys were coming after him! He ran as fast as he could away from them into a busy market. He turned a corner looking behind him and ran into the backside of a huge camel!!! The Camel was startled and started running straight into the market, scattering stalls and causing pandemonium!

Chris followed the camel until the camel went through the town and into the countryside and stopped for a drink at a river. He was also thirsty and had a drink with the camel when all of a sudden he noticed the camel had five humps. Excuse me Mr. Camel, said Chris, why do you have five humps? The Camel burped loudly and said you are very rude to ask me such a question. Why do you have funny hair? I dont said Chris. This is what all the boys in my village look like!

After a while they got along with each other and the camel told Chris that his name was Clarence and that he was a magic camel and could make him very rich. He explained that he could fly and take Chris anywhere he wanted to go. Chris wanted to find his parents but he had heard of an Emperor whose palace was built with pink marble and all his soldiers had pink uniforms and every flower in his amazing gardens had to be pink. He thought this would be a fantastic sight and asked Clarence to take him to the Pink Emperor.

Clarence told Chris to hop on his back. The five humps made a very comfortable saddle, but Clarence smelt like rotten fish! Chris said you smell bad and Clarence said I have been catching fish and rolling in them to make my fur soft for my girlfriend.

Suddenly Clarence started moving, getting faster and faster, galloping towards a cliff! Chris held on tightly and closed his eyes.he was very scared. Chris felt a gentle breeze coming towards him, Clarence had taken off, they were flying!

Chris opened his eyes and looked down. He could see the town and the river and hundreds of paddy fields - it was amazing! With cold air rushing towards him the two flew on for two hours. Then they spotted a glistening pink palace in the distance. Clarence dived down with horrific speed. Chris clung on. They fell from the sky and landed in the Palaces fountain with a big splash. Ouch, that hurt, youre not very good at landing said Chris. You are very rude, I told you I could fly but I dont know how to land said Clarence. Clarence jumped up and they started to run to a hiding place because the Emperor was coming. Clarence started to sprint so he could fly away but before he could fly away the Emperor saw them both.

The Emperor ran and ran but got too tired so he called the guards to find the boy and the five humped camel. The guards chased and caught them.

Chris ran to the only place he could go, it was up in the towers where they could fly away because it was high. Clarence ran and ran as Chris jumped on and before they knew it they were magically flying. They reached Chriss home where he saw his Mum and Dad. He ran to them and promised to never leave again. He went on to tell them all about his adventures. Chris was now known in his village as an illustrious adventurer because of his stories and they all lived happily ever after.
