The Book of Life
Revelation 3:5 (NIV) 5 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.
Revelation 20:12 (NIV) 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
Revelation 21:23-27 (NIV) 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Luke 10:20 (NIV) 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

The Lord Knows each of Us by Name

John 10:3 3 …He calls his own sheep by name…
Philippians 4:3 3 Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
Revelation 3:5 5 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.
Luke 10:20 20 …rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
The Book of Life Contains a Precise
and Certain List
2 Timothy 2:19 - "The Lord knows those who are his,"
Revelation 7:3- 4 - …we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.
The point is not the exact number, but the exactness of the number.
There are only two classes of responsible humanity, either…
Saved or Lost!
In the Church or in the World!
In the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of the Devil!
Living in Sin or Forgiven of Sin!
With Hope or Without Hope!
Name Written There or not Written There!
Rejoicing or Weeping!
?
Is YOUR name written in the Lamb’s Book of
Life?
One final thing needs to be considered
What part the Book of Life plays
In the Great Day of Judgment
Revelation 20:11-12 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
Revelation 20:15 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:27 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
