POWERS & FUNCTIONS OF THE BOARDSection-8 of EOB Act 1976 provides
• To approve the budget estimates, theaudited accounts and the annual report ofthe institution for submission to the FederalGovernment in accordance with theprovisions of this Act;
• To call for any information or direct any researchto be made for the furtherance of the objects ofthe Act;

Review of Decision› The Institution may subject to
regulations, on new facts beingbrought to its notice, review adecision given by it undersection 33

(i) Any person objecting to the decision ofthe Institution in respect of the itemsenumerated in Section 33 or reviewthereof under Section 34 may prefer anappeal to the Board in writing withinthirty days of the decision.
(ii) The Board may admit an appeal afterthe expiry of the period aforesaid if it issatisfied that the appellant had sufficientcause for not presenting the appealwithin that period.
