This unit will introduce students to elements of the Spanish culture, such as the celebration of the Quinceañera.

Students will analyze and develop comparison skills from their culture to the Hispanic culture.

Unit Summary

While practicing their Spanish writing skills, students will exchange opinions concerning their traditional rite of passage with e-pals from other Hispanic countries.

The students will analyze and interpret the rites of passage Hispanic girls must undertake in order to reach womanhood.

Students will also be able to distinguish similarities & differences between aspects of their own culture and that of the Hispanic culture.
