Where we live

We will be exploring the local Gloucestershire area and focusing

on where in the world Gloucestershire is located. We will be

studying the specific human and physical features in the local

area and we will use this information to make a localised map. We

then hope to explore the area using the information we have

studied.

Handwriting – Gross motor development for writing, fine motor development for writing, mark making, sitting correctly at a table, pencil grip, letter formation, consistent letter size, looking at letter families and choosing the best apparatus for the task.

This term we will focusing on handwriting using a range of

multisensory materials and apparatus. Pupils will have the

opportunity to write about a range of topics but all focusing

around the common theme of the local area.
