YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Students at New World School of the Arts rely on your steadfast commitment to the arts. Your generous financial support plays a vital part in achieving our students’ career dreams. Financial support from friends, alumni, foundations and corporations is critical to maintain our position as leaders in the performing and visual arts. Following are New World School of the Arts fundraising and donation opportunities: GIVE MIAMI DAY: Each year in November, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of NWSA students. On Give Miami Day, for just 24 hours, any donation you make to support New World School of the Arts will receive a percentage match from the Miami Foundation, increasing the impact of your contribution like never before! Give Miami Day is organized by the Miami Foundation to allow our community an opportunity to make a charitable gift to a local nonprofit, including New World School of the Arts. Key88: Your financial support will ensure that NWSA students receive the best educational experience possible. Join this worthy effort today - your three-year commitment will help us reach our goal and your gift will multiply through individual, foundation and State matches. For example, the minimum gift of $5,000 required to participate in Key88 will, after matching funds, deposit $11,000 into the endowment account. Take advantage of this opportunity to maximize your giving power and support a school that makes Miami a better place. Legacy Society: Created in celebration of our 25th Anniversary by former New World School of the Arts Foundation Board member, Lydia Harrison and her husband Burt Harrison along with former New World School of the Arts Foundation Board Chair, Dennis Edwards, the NWSA Legacy Society enables supporters to include New World School of the Arts in their estate planning to augment the institution’s scholarship coffers. Spotlight 2020: An important fundraising initiative, Spotlight 2020 aims to help NWSA raise the necessary funds to train and develop our students’ artistry in motion through world-class professional training and artistic opportunities. We invite you to support Spotlight 2020 - together we can ensure that NWSA’s mission, which began more than three decades ago, will continue to make a difference in the lives of young aspiring artists. Name-a-Seat: New World School of the Arts is proud to present its new state-of-the-art dance Telescopic Platform Seating! This flexible seating enhancement decreases the time that it takes to convert our studios from rehearsal to performance spaces and offers our audiences comfortable and safe seating, while maximizing space usage and operational functionality. Now you can be part of this legacy by supporting New World School of the Arts with a contribution towards the purchase of a Name-a-Seat plaque to be proudly displayed on our new updated seats. Friends of Theater: Your contribution to Friends of Theater will continue to help provide our students with the very best in artistic development through training and performance opportunities, helping them live their passion and realize their artistic dreams. Through this effort, your contribution will help the theater division provide our students with costumes, help build the sets you will enjoy. We look forward to sharing our performances, concerts, events and exhibitions with you. Please contact us for more information regarding fundraising opportunities for New World School of the Arts and help us share and celebrate the artistic vision and passion of our students.
