ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
All praises be to Allah subhanalahta’ala, The Almighty, who has given
me the strength, health and the opportunity in writing this thesis. Peace and
salutation are also presented to our beloved Prophet Muhammad shallallahu
‘alaihiwasallam who has struggled whole-heartedly to deliver the truth to human
being and guide his ummah to the right way.
First of all, I have to thank my research advisors, RiskiLestiono, M.A, and
Dra. ThathitManonAndini, M.Hum.who have given me suggestion, direction,
guidance and a great deal of time in completing this thesis. Without their
assistance and dedicated involvement in every step throughout the process, this
thesis would have never been accomplished. I would like to thank you very much
for your support and understanding over these past four years.
Getting through my thesis required more than academic support, and I
have many, many people to thank for listening to and, at times, having to tolerate
me over the past these years. I cannot begin to express my gratitude and
appreciation for their friendship,to all of my friends that have been unwavering in
their personal and professional support during the time I spent at the University.
For many memorable evenings out and in, I must thank everyone.
Most importantly, none of this could have happened without my family.
My mother, ZazilatusShofiawho offered her encouragement through her support –
despite my own limited devotion to correspondence. To my parents, it would be
an understatement to say that, as a family, we have experienced some ups and
vii
downs in the past these years. Every time I was ready to quit, you did not let me
and I am forever grateful. This thesis stands as a testament to your unconditional
love and encouragement.
Finally, I realize that this thesis is far from the perfection. Therefore, I
appreciate for any critics and suggestions in order to make this thesis better.
