Worlds smallest co-ex Chill Roll line of its kind

The line feartures two units of ourconical extruders which have theunique features to be able to useregular plastic pellet sizes. This ismade possible by having an in feedsection diameter of 18 mm whichthen gradually reduces to 8 mm atthe screw tip.

As with all our other UltraMicro  lines,  this Co-Exversion was  designed andbuilt by our engineers ontheir spare time and given asa gift to our manager.

The line features asection type of feed block whichdivided the in flow from the twoextruders into layers A+B+A.This feed block type ensures avery even layer thickness. Thelayer thickness is regulated bythe speed from the extruderswhich are driven by infinitelyvariable speed servo motorswith a very constant RPM

The flat die is of coat hanger type andhas a set of adjustment screws for thelip gap. With this the gap can be setfrom 0.1 to 0.3 mm

The feed block and die is connected tothe extruders with C-Clamps. They caneasily be removed for fast cleaning ofboth extruders as well as feed blockand die.

All  tree  rolls  in  the  rollingstack  are  double  walled  forinternal heating and coolingand  connected  to  a  built  inwater  heating  and  cooling

tank with  circulating pump. The connections tothe rolls are through miniature rotating joints.

The sub cabinet contains the custom builtwater circulating unit with which is connectedto an external water supply. Due to the largeinternal water tank, the system can be used

for several hours without the need for anexternal supply of cold water.

All the functions on the entire Ultra MicroCo-Ex Chill roll line are controlled on a touch

screen with clear and easy to understandgraphics. Shown here to the right is the main

screen where the whole line is illustratedand where the running

The sub cabinet also contains all theelectrical and electronic componentscomprising of AC Servo & DC motorcontrols, relays and controls for waterpump, electric water heating, PLC unitfor touch screen and various safetycontrols.
