A. Instrument panelYou’ll notice the blue illumination of the cylinder-style instrument dials – they both look sporty and reduce eye strain. You can choose between Conventional Cluster or Supervision Cluster* with two LCD screens.

warning camera helps you fit your car into tight parking spaces. The optional navigation system is always combined with the back warning camera.

B. Audio systemPlay your favourite music courtesy of the sophisticated Hyundai audio system. It features a radio, CD player as well as USB and AUX outlets for your MP3 player. And with the optional iPod cable, you’ve got access to your entire music collection for any length of your journey. All this, in perfect sound quality thanks to six high-quality speakers placed throughout the cabin.

C. BluetoothShould you need to get in touch with friends or family en route, optional hands-free Bluetooth lets you make phone calls without taking your eyes off the road. That’s another piece of safe and clever technology on board the ix20.

D. Air conditioningTo keep everyone on board cool, you can choose between manual air conditioning and full-automatic air conditioning, which adjusts to maintain your set temperature.

Smart key with button startThere’s plenty more to make your life easier: for example, the smart key with button start. It puts an end to searching for the car keys in your pocket or handbag. Carry your smart key with you, and the system sends

a signal to your ix20 as you approach. All you need to do is touch a button on the door handle to unlock the car. To start the engine, simply press the START/STOP button.

Now nothing can spoil your journey once you’ve arrived. The Hyundai ix20 ensures you master any parking challenge with top marks. Nobody needs to know you’re calling upon smart technology: the Rear Parking Assist System uses four back sensors and acoustic warning sounds to guide you as you reverse. Or choose the back warning camera for further convenience. A camera situated next to the rear number plate illumination transmits images to the display in the rear-view mirror or, in conjunction with the navigation system, to the large TFT screen, showing you how much room you’ve got left.

The flexible seats provide the key to its versatility, with rear seats that fold and dive, recline and even slide backwards and forwards to create a world of options.

WHY AREN’T ALL COLOURS GREEN?

Continental Silver, Ice Blue, Sienna Orange, Blueberry ... It doesn’t matter what colour Hyundai ix20 you prefer, each and every model is green. Our vehicles are responsibly manufactured and designed to be as kind to the climate as possible. As a result, the new ix20 features among the most fuel efficient engines in its class. For example, our 1.4 litre low-power diesel engine emits only 114 g/km of CO2 emissions with Idle Stop and Go (ISG).

Fuel Efficiency Pack If you opt for the Fuel Efficiency Pack, you can reduce emissions even further whilst boosting efficiency. The pack contains smart solutions like Idle Stop and Go (ISG), Alternator Management System (AMS) and low-rolling resist ance tyres.

Alternator Management System (AMS) AMS constantly monitors the state of the battery. It automatically disengages the alternator during periods of low electrical loads and a full battery charge. As a result, the load on the engine is reduced and fuel consumption lowered.

Idle Stop and Go (ISG)*ISG simply switches off the engine when the car is in neutral and the foot off the clutch. As soon as you engage the pedal, the engine restarts automatically, allowing you to resume your journey seamlessly. A simple idea which helps save fuel substantially. All models fitted with the Fuel Efficiency Pack carry the Blue Drive logo. (Not available for A/T 1.6 litre petrol engine.)

CAN POWER BE GENTLE?

TransmissionYou’ll get the best out of the 1.4 litre petrol engine with the 5-speed manual transmission (B), all other models feature 6-speed transmission. The 1.6 litre petrol engine can be fitted with a smooth 4-speed automatic transmission (A) for an even more comfortable driving experience.

Shift Indicator All manual models are fitted with a Shift Indicator which shows you the best time to change gear. That’s another clever solution to help you save fuel.

Suspension and steeringThe precise Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) and a torsion rear axle suspension ensure great handling and comfort.

True to form, the new Hyundai ix20 doesn’t compromise when it comes to driving pleasure. Our engineering expertise brings you a choice of advanced powertrains combining poise with class-leading efficiency. Choose between the 1.4 litre (90 PS) and the 1.6 litre (125 PS) petrol engine. Or opt for the 1.4 litre diesel engine with a choice of 77 PS or 90 PS. All diesel engines feature the latest Common Rail Diesel technology. On petrol models, Continuous Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) technology and electronic fuel injection boost output.

The optional projection headlamps with static bending can be fi tted to shed more light in dark corners. The extra light is activated when you’re driving at a minimum speed of 3 km/h, the headlamps are switched on, and as soon as you turn the steering wheel at an angle of at least 30°.

A. Electronic Stability Control (ESC)ESC helps control your vehicle when necessary. The system applies braking power automatically to individual wheels to counter oversteer or understeer. Engine power is also adjusted until control is regained. ESC is combined with HAC.

B. AirbagsSurrounded by the best: to reduce injury in a collision, the ix20 has two front airbags which deploy at reduced force, as well as two side airbags and two curtain airbags in the fi rst and second seat rows.

C. Hill Start Assist Control (HAC)HAC is a handy feature for starts on steep hills. The system allows you to get ahead without rolling backward. HAC is combined with ESC.

D. Safety power windows* The convenient power windows feature a clever safety function. If they sense an obstacle, the windows automatically stop when closing.

E. Active headrestsDuring a rear-end collision, the front active headrests move forward and up to minimise head and neck injuries.

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)To help you stay in control during emergency braking, ABS prevents the wheels from locking.
