Ciotola S.r.l. offers a personal service to develop that special paper for you and manage the whole process. From the origination and concept development to delivery of semi-finished products to printers, we will oversee the progress of your project. We are happy to manage small and medium sized orders and arrange secure export around the world.

With decades of experience in sourcing security papers, Ciotola S.r.l. works in close partnership with a cylinder mould mill of long experience, and a highly qualified and experienced security printer, we offer a complete solution to the security industry.

Ciotola S.r.l. has developed long relationships with our customers from around the world, producing a full range of security document papers for them. Products have included passports, visas, vouchers, financial documents and other applications requiring high-end security.

Security features for high-end documents

We will work with you to determine the characteristics of your paper and the combination of security features needed to meet your requirements, and then manage the process. Working with the mill and security converter, we will ensure that your required overt and covert security features, implanted at both the papermaking and converting stages, meet your specifications and our own high standards.

Papers of distinctionOur cylinder mould mill partner can produce papers within a wide range of specifications with all the latest security features. In-house production of mould covers ensures secrecy, brand protection, assurance against counterfeiting as well as enabling quick production times. • 100% cotton papers • Weights ranging from 60 – 600g/m2

• Embedded and windowed security threads • In-house mould cover production • Registered watermarks and electrotypes • Chemical sensitising • Visible and UV fibres

Among the printed and converted security features provided are: • Intaglio, rotogravure and screen printing • Implantation of special security features • Holograms (positioned and stripes), (computer generated holograms (CGH)) • Iridescent inks • Optical Diffractive Inks Magnetic (ODIM) • Security UV/IR inks, special taggants • Guilloches, numismatic and security backgrounds • Serialisation, micro-embossing, de-metallisation • Security laminates for identity applications • Finishing lines for booklets and passports
