Healing of the Lame Man(Acts 3:1–10)

 After receiving the power of the Holy Spirit, Peter andJohn went to the temple at the hour of prayer.

There was a man, who had been lame all his life,asking for money at the gate of the temple. When thelame man saw Peter and John about to go into the

temple, he also asked them for money.Peter said to the lame man, “Look at us.” The manlooked up at them, expecting to be given money. ButPeter said, “I have no silver or gold, but I will give youwhat I have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,rise up and walk!”

Then Peter took the lame man by the hand, and liftedhim up. Immediately the man’s feet and ankle bonesreceived strength! He jumped up and went with them intothe temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people who saw what happened were flled

with wonder and amazement.
