I. BACKGROUD During the 10th FICAC World Congress of Consuls in Monaco last November 2012, AHCI has been elected as a host of the 11th World Congress of Consuls in 2015 to be held in the island of Bali, which will be preceded by the 3rd FICAC East Asia Regional Conference (EARC).

The 4th FICAC East Asia Regional Committee Meeting, The 5th FICAC BoD Meeting & the 3rd FICAC East Asia Regional Conference was held in JW Marriott Hotel, Surabaya from 14 - 17 November 2013. III. THE 4TH FICAC EAST ASIA REGIONAL COMMITTEE MEETING

The 4th FICAC East Asia Regional Committee Meeting was held on Friday, 15 November 2013 from 09.00 11.00 participated by the national association executives from the region i.e. Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Viet Nam; but also attended by the executives of the national association of Honorary Consuls from Pakistan and Bangladesh.

IV. THE 5TH FICAC BOARD OF DIRECTORS (BoD) MEETING

V. SPOUSE PROGRAM Spouse program was arranged on Friday, 15 November 2013 starting from JW Marriott Hotel from 08.30 until 15.00 hours. The program had 25 participants (including the organizers) visiting Cheng Ho Mosque, Hero Monument, House of Sampoerna a Dutch Colonial-style compound, built in 1862 and now a preserved as a historical site. 1 (one) bus including, driver and guide was sponsored by Culture & Tourism Office of Surabaya City. Cheng Ho Mosque 12.00 am : Lunch at Majapahit Hotel a historic Hotel known as Hotel Oranje during the Dutch Colonial time. Visit Hero Monument

VI. WELCOME RECEPTION Welcome Reception hosted by Mr. Djamal Ghozi Basmeleh, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Surabaya and his wife Mrs. Azza Dina Djamal, who is also the President/Owner of PT. Pismatex Textile Industry (Gajah Duduk). The reception was held on Friday, 15 November 2013 from 19.00 until 23.00 hours at their beautifully restored colonial mansion, now called de Soematra Function House 1910, located at Jl. Sumatera no. 75, Surabaya 60281- Indonesia. De Soematra Function House is one of the oldest buildings in Surabaya. It features many of the periods most sought-after details such as 6 meters high ceilings, wooden paneling, and glass panels inset within the doors. Passionately restored to its full magnificence, de Soematra Function House 1910 is Surabayas ultimate showcase of colonial opulence. At the end of 2012, de Soematra Function House 1910 was chosen as a Cultural Heritage site Cagar Budaya in Surabaya East Java. Culture & Tourism Office of Surabaya City provided 2 couples of Cak and Ning (Mr. and Ms.) Surabaya and a traditional band Keroncong for this event.

Around 150 guests attended the function.

At the occasion, Honorary Consul Vicente J. Carlos (Hon Con of Cote dIvoire in the Philippines as Chairman of FICAC East Asia Regional Committee) accompanied by Secretary General of FICAC, Hon. Aykut Eken and two other Directors of FICAC, Hon. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and Hon. KL Ganju presented a Medal of Honour to Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Surabaya, Mr. Djamal Ghozi Basmeleh.

VII. THE 3RD FICAC EAST ASIA REGIONAL CONFERENCE

Held on Saturday, 16 November 2013 at the Ball Room JW. Marriott Hotel from 09.30 until 16.00. Around 150 participants including 60 Honorary Consuls from 17 countries plus 19 spouses and 7 accompanied d guests, as well as invited guests from Government and local authorities, sponsors and other prominent figures. The Governor of East Java Province Mr. Dr. H. Soekarwo SH, H.E. Mr. Wardana Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs the Republic of Indonesia, Hon. Soy M. Pardede and other VVIPs, were greeted by traditional welcome Dance Tari Remo when entering the Ball Room.

Pardede Speakers: The planned keynote speaker Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad Former Prime Minister of Malaysia/Honorary President of Perdana Leadership Foundation who had planned to give his keynote speech on Asia to the World and for that purpose a special aircraft has been arranged, has had to cancel his trip by last minute for health consideration as advised by his medical doctor. In his place, H.E. Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi Former Secretary General of UNCTAD, 7th Director General of WTO presented a very well noted keynote speech under the same theme Asia to the World linking trade and development to accelerate economic growth and the importance of green energy for Asia to develop.

GALA DINNER This event was hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, held on Saturday, 16 November 2013 from 19.00 22.00 at the Ball Room of JW Marriott Hotel Surabaya. Culture & Tourism Office of Surabaya City provided 2 couples of Cak and Ning (Mr & Ms) Surabaya to greet guests on arrival. The traditional music gamelan entertained guests during the cocktail.
