Greeting Cards It seems elementary, but it will get students thinking and creating.

Cards are a real-life project with a purpose and can be used in many classes.

❖ Ideas:➢ Character Card - make a card for a character from a book. The card could reflect the mood of

the character. Ex. If the character is sad, lonely, or betrayed the color of the card or text can reflect sadness. What they have to write in the card is the assignment. Card Examples: Apology, Sympathy, Romance, Obituary, Holiday, Thank You, Encouragement, Congrats...many possibilities.

❖ You set the parameters ➢ Card should reflect the mood or feeling of character (or one character card to another

character, what would it say?)➢ Must have the character’s name➢ Must show example of alliteration?????➢ Must decorate➢ Must have at least 5 colors

❖ Students login w/Google & start creating right away!

❖ Its drag and drop functionality enables teachers & students to create presentations, posters, worksheets, and much more.

❖ It has a layouts galore and takes the time spent on making something “pretty” and allows you to focus on content.

❖ Students login w/school gmail and have access to all layouts. Most are free, however some may have a small fee.

❖ Share & Save feature so students are able to turn in through Google Classroom.➢ Must download design in order to turn into Classroom. It automatically saves as a pdf

and will show in the student’s drive under “Recent”.
