The 2007 VVV Family Association Reunion
Blackwater Falls State Park

The WV Park Ranger welcomed us.
She has worked at the park for over 20 years.

A mysterious bell ringer opened the reunion.
Cheryl read the minutes from the last reunion.
Kaitlin Johnston led the pledge of allegiance.
The New Tygart Flyer took us on a scenic trip.
The scenery was spectacular.
The train stopped for a break and we walked down to the river.
Friday night the “Cheat Mountain Corksniffers” played folk and square dance music.
The Virginia Reel was very entertaining. Especially for the audience!
Square dancing is hard !!
Georgene led the genealogy sessions.
Milton Pickett brought a beautiful bedspread made by his grandmother about 1890.
The bedspread is pictured in the reprint of “The Vawter Family in America”
It is described as “tufted embroidery” in a grape design.

VVV President, J W Vawter presided over the meeting Saturday night after the banquet.
Fred Wicker gave the Bible reading for the memorial service.
Laneil read the obituaries for the34 loved ones remembered.
