Regulations

1 ANY dispute as to the interpretation of these Regulations and any other By-Laws, Rules or Provisions shall be determined by the Horse Show Commit-tee whose decision is final.

2 THE Committee shall have the power to refuse admittance to the Show-ground of any exhibit or exhibitor for any valid reason it sees fit and such decision shall be final.

3 THE Committee will give every possible facility to exhibitors and every care will be taken in respect of exhibits, but NO RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE INCURRED BY THE COMMITTEE.

4 In the event of any person occupying any stand on the grounds or any ex-hibit or exhibitor causing offensive noises or in any way whatsoever inter-fering with the comfort of the patrons, the Committee shall have the power to cancel the occupancy of the stand and to have the exhibit or exhibitor responsible removed from the grounds.

5 SKILFUL persons appointed by the Committee will be chosen to act as judges of the various sections. The judge’s decision in all cases shall be final except if it be opposed to the Regulations or any other By-Laws, Rules or Provisions of the Committee, or any valid protest or objection is lodged in accordance with the Regulations.

6 PROTESTS or objections must be in writing, accompanied by a deposit of $100.00 and lodged with the Horse Committee Secretary within ONE HOUR of the judge’s decision. The deposit will be forfeited unless the pro-test or objection is upheld.

7 PROTESTS or objections shall be heard by the Protest Committee .

NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE GROUND

Horse Events Special Conditions

a. A Veterinary Surgeon is “on call” for emergencies. In the event of an acci-dent or injury to an animal at the Show, any exhibitor or competitor using the services of the Veterinary Surgeon shall accept full responsibility for such a decision and the Committee/Organisers will not be deemed to have been involved in the matter or the decision. Any cost involved in the use of the Veterinary Surgeon or medications etc. provided shall be the responsi-bility of the exhibitor/competitor.

b. The age of horses will be calculated from 1st August.

c. The age of riders will be taken from the day of the Show.

d. All Riders must wear a current safety-approved helmet & boots.

e. The Official Show Horse Classes are conducted under Show Horse Council and EA rules as applicable. Horse and Rider must be registered with EA &/or SHC.

f. Hunter classes will be run under AHHA rules.

g. If there are insufficient entries in a class to provide competition, the Com-mittee/Organisers reserve the right to combine or delete classes.

h. Judging order will be at the discretion of the organising Committee.

i. The Committee’s ribbons or sashes will be awarded subject to

compliance with the Regulations and Conditions.

j. Random Drug testing may take place.

k. Waiver form must be signed .

l. The official classes are qualifiers for both the EA & SHC HOTY

Entry Form must be completed in full and the form signed. Failure to com-plete or sign will result in the entry being returned.

For official and Breed classes HORSE AND RIDER REGISTRATION NUM-BERS MUST BE SUPPLIED ON ENTRY FORM TOGETHER WITH A PHO-TOCOPY OF REGISTRATION AND MEMBERSHIP CARD. HORSES MUST HOLD A CURRENT HEIGHT CERTIFICATE FOR

OFFICIAL CLASSES AND IT MAY BE ASKED FOR ON THE DAY. IF ALL REGISTRATIONS & DOCUMENTATION IS NOT PROVIDED,

PAPERWORK WILL BE RETURNED TO SENDER.

Entry Fee: $7.00 per event—if entering Unofficial jumping events only, or $35 for all events on the day. Late entries may be ac-cepted on the day for the showjumping events only, but carry a late fee of $10 per event. Entry form and waiver must be com-pleted and entry fees paid at office before becoming eligible to compete. NO EVENTS WILL BE HELD UP FOR ANY REASON. This rule will be enforced on the day.

Unofficial Competition Day Regulations. This Day is a non-EA/SHC qualifier. Horses/Riders who will compete on Saturday in the Official Classes are not eligible to compete Friday unless competing in the Showjumping or are eligible for the Pony Club Classes.

ENTRY FEES; $35.00 per each Horse and Rider combination. Includes unofficial saddle, rider, pony club, and showjumping– all classes to be held on Friday October 4th 2019 (for one single horse/rider combination)

Entry Fees are non-refundable and will not be considered unless a Vet (or recognised & qualified equine practitioner) or Doctors certificate is supplied within 7 days of the show.

RIBBONS; Will be awarded to 3rd place at the judges discretion.

TROPHIES OR PRIZES; May be awarded to all Champions.

SUPREME CHAMPION HORSE AND SUPREME CHAMPION RIDER; Will receive a sash and prize or trophy.

COMPETITORS; May choose to wear show attire or FULL Pony Club uniform in all events, including showjumping. Approved helmets and boots MUST be worn.

PONY CLUB CLASSES; Full Formal Pony Club uniform is compulsory—including saddlecloths.

NOVICE; Is a horse or rider that has not won a 1st place in a similar type of class at any show or gymkhana.

PLEASURE; Horse must be ridden in a snaffle bit with no Hanoverian, crossover, grackle or drop nose bands and with no whips or spurs.

CONSOLATION; Is a rider or horse who has not won a ribbon in any event at the Burnie Show today.

JUDGES DECISION WILL BE FINAL In all events.

COMPETITIORS MUST CHOOSE which events they wish to compete in as the rings will not be held over for competitors in other rings—except for Champion classes.

THE COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT to combine or divide classes if entries warrant.

ALL SECOND PLACE GETTERS must be on standby in case of eligibility for Reserve Champion.

Stallions and colts must be shown in a bit, or suitable halter & chain, and must at all times be under the control of a responsible person over the age of 18 yrs.

Any exhibit deemed by a judge or show official to be uncontrolled or unruly may be asked to leave the grounds.

PLEASE CHOOSE EVENTS CAREFULLY AS CLASSES OR EVENTS WILL NOT BE HELD UP UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This rule will be enforced.

Champion & Reserve Champion Jumper - on points basis from 2 events. First Place = 5 points, Second Place = 3 points, Third Place = 1 point

Jumping will be conducted Under EA Rules. All riders should ensure that they are familiar with the rules governing showjumping events. These can be found on the EA website—Equestrian Aust > Showjumping > Rules

UNOFFICIAL SHOWJUMPING. Commencing at 8.30 am.

Class 1. 50 cm Optimum Time Horses may compete in a Class 2. 60cm Article 238.2.2 maximum of two height Class 3, 70 cm Article 238.2.2 classes only in the show jumping Class 4. 80 cm Article 238.2.2 section. Class 5. 90cm Article 238.2.2 Class 6. 100 cm Article 238.2.2 Class 7. 110 cm Article 238.2.2

NO EVENTS WILL BE HELD UP FOR HORSES COMPETING IN OTHER RINGS.

Equestrian Australia National Jumping Rules. Article 238 2.2 This is a competition against the clock, but in the event of equality of penalties for first place, there will be one jump-off against the clock. Other athletes are placed according to their penalties and time in the first round. For minor com-petitions the jump-off may be run according to table C, if thus provided in the schedule.
