Chapter 7-

We boarded the plane a few minutes ago and my dad got us first class tickets so I knew it was going to

be a fun flight home.My dad plopped down next to me after he put my luggage up and he sighed.

“What's up?” I asked.

“I guess I should tell you everything now.” he said, looking at me.“You and Elena can tell me together. She said she'd rather you both tell me the story.” I said, grabbing

my Itouch from my back pocket. “I don't know what the big deal is anyway. I mean, you're just going

to tell me how you two met, no biggie.”He gave me a look that told me that it was more to it. I decided not to ask any questions about it even

though I desperately wanted to know.

This was going to be a long flight.

Three and a half long hours later, we pulled up to our house. My dad had one of his drivers to pick us

up from the airport. My dad owns the most successful business in America, but you wouldn't be able to

tell that by looking at him or by talking to him because he's so modest. Sometimes he gets kind of arroagant about it though and I don't see it as a bad thing because everyone doubted him when he told

them that he was going to be someone important one day and he stayed true to his word. He owns

hundred and thousands of companies worldwide and they're all very successful. He's even gotten manyawards that are displayed proudly in a glass showcase in our living room.

“Hey Jaunita.” I exclaimed, running up to her and giving her a hug. She was short, about 5'1, with

brown, curly hair that had some gray in it but she was still pretty to be someone's grandma. She has

three kids, well adult kids, who also had children and they come by here all the time. We adore themand we treat them as part of our family too.

“Hey, Melonee! So, what'd you get me?” she asked with her thick spanish accent and I laughed. I

usually bring home gifts and souvenirs for everyone whenever I go somewhere.“Sorry Nita. No gifts this time, but I do have some news.” I told her.

“I can watch news on tv.” she said and I laughed.

“Not the kind of news I'm going to give you. Trust me.” I said.“So, when are you going to tell me?” she asked.

“When Adrian and the others get here. I want to tell y'all at the same time. I'm going to go put my stuff

up and take a shower.” I said, stretching, and going upstairs towards my room.

“Okay, I have to go to work real quick. I'll be back for before dinner.” my dad called out and I heard thefaint sound of his car driving out of the garage.

I took a long shower and washed my hair as I thought of the reactions I was going to get after I gave

the good news. Is it good news? My friends already didn't like my mom because they think that she'sobviously a bad mother since she left, but I see it differently now. My mom didn't leave because she

didn't want me, she left because she had to. Of course she could've made me live with her when she

could, but she didn't so that I could stay with my dad. She gets points for that, but she also could've been more involved in my life somehow. I mean, it's nice that she already knows about my

accomplishments and the important moments of my life, but she could've called every once in a while

or even written a letter. Anything but make it look like she abandoned me. So, I don't know what myfriend's reactions are going to be. Especially when I tell them that I'm to go live with her on my 18th

 birthday.

I turned the shower off and wrapped a towel around myself. I walked into my bedroom, got my phone

and called Adrian and my other best friend, Derek on three way.

“Hey, you've got me! Now you can take me anyway you want me.” Derek answered and I fought the

urge to laugh.

“I want you for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, and desert.” I joked.“Seriously?” he asked and I laughed.

“Puhlease, don't nobody want you.” Adrian cut in and I could feel another argument coming on.

They fight about everything . They use to date when we all in our sophmore year of high school I guessthey never got the chance to get over each other because they were always with each other. They're

both my best friends and I wouldn't take sides so they were kind of forced to hand around each other.

They always make up eventually though.“I remember a time when you wanted me. Tell me Adrian, is that feeling still there? Because you know

I could satisfy your needs, anytime.” Derek teased and I laughed.

“Wanted as in I use to want you. But not anymore so you can take you teenage boy hormones

elsewhere.” she told him and I oooh.“Oh you know that there is nothing boyish about me. I'm all man baby. Ain't that right Melonee?” he

asked.

“Oh no. I'm not getting into this.” I said. It's true, Derek has a nice body and he might've caught usdrooling over it a few times, but I would never admit it to him. Adrian and I just talk about it when he

can't hear us.

“Hey, I'm coming to your house so we can exchange the news, I'll there in 15.” Adrian said.“Good, that's what I was calling for. Derek, you're coming to, so drop whatever blow up doll you're

screwing this time and get over here.” I demanded.

“Ooh, a woman who'sin control. Daddy likey.” he said.“Pervert.” I said.

“In the flesh.” he said and I hung up.

I quickly got some clothes out of my closet, put my hair up in a ponytail, and walked down the stairs

barefoot.“Hey, Derek and Adrian are coming by, so get ready for chaos.” I told Jaunita and she rolled her eyes.

“I'll get some snacks ready.” she said.

“I love you woman.” I said.“Whatever.” she said with a wave of her hand. I went to refridgerator to get soemthing to drink and she

slapped my hand away from the handle.

“No, you wait until I bring down the snacks.” she demanded.“But, I'm going to die of dehydration.” I pouted and she shooed me out of the kitchen.

“Damn people. Don't even care if I die.” I muttered as I plopped down on the living room sofa and

watched Vh1 until Adrian and Derek got here.

The door bell rang and when I walked up to the door I could hear them argueing outside and I sighed.“You know, you're argueing is really getting old.” I said when I opened the door, leaning my head

against the door frame.

They went quiet and turned to me.“We're sorry. We'll try not to slit each others throats while we're here.” Adrian said, walking in the

house without an invitation. I didn't really care because she's over here so much that she even has her

own key. I wouldn't really extend the same freedom to Derek though, because he might go overboardwith it and bring random whores in my room when no one's home.

“Go to the game room.” I told them and I went to the kitchen to get the snacks from Jaunita.

When I walked in the room, Adrian and Derek were sitting on the couch with their shoes off, playingBully on the Xbox 360.

I walked to the empty space on the couch, careful not to drop the snacks and drinks, as my feet sunk

into the plush, white carpet.

I had to put on socks before I walked in here because I have a strict “noshoes can be worn when in the

game room” policy. Following that policy is a “always have on CLEAN socks when in the game room”

policy. The carpet is all white and I don't want to get it dirty. The same goes for my room since I have

white carpet there also. The game room had everything I teenager could ask for, boy or girl. It had all of the latest game

systems and a big screen tv to play them on. It also had a pac man machine, which is one of my favorite

games, and a pinball machine. There was even a stage in here. My dad puts something new in here for me and my friends every year and last year he added the stage. We usually have kareoke seesions in

here whenever we throw a party, and it's hilarious when my dad throws the party and his friends are

singing drunkenly into the mic.“Okay, you want the news now, or later?” I asked them, setting the snacks down on the end table and

 plopping down on the sofa.

“Now.” they both said at the same time, their eyes still fixated on the screen.

“I met my mom, while I was in New York.” I said bluntly.“Congratz.” they both said and I rolled my eyes.

“5.....4....3....2...1--”

“What?” they yelled, dropping their contollers immediately.“I met my mom. Her name is Elena and when I look her, it's almost like looking in a mirror. I also have

four brothers name Hayden, Eden, Alik, and Ares. And two sisters name Alivia and Alina. I have a step

dad name Aleksandr and a neice and a nephew names Jayden and Jordan.” I said in one breath.“They have weird names.” Derek said.

“And you're just plain weird.” I said and he grinned.

Adrian was just silent, and she had a distant look on her face.“Adrian?” I asked, waving my hands in her face.

“Huh? Oh, congratulations.” she said, hugging me. “As long as you're fine with them then I guess we

are to.”

I was glad the I had their approval, not that I needed it, but this wasn't really the reaction I wasexpecting. Neither was I expecting the people that I least expected to walk through the door, walk

through the door. If that made sense.

“Hey, Hey, Hey.” Eden said, bursting through the door.“What the hell?” Adrian and I said at the same time.

“What are you doing here?” I asked as the others walked through the door too. Everyone was here,

excluding Alina, Elena, Aleksandr and the twins. Even Mikhail was here.“Damn.” Adrian and Derek said, and they all looked at them.

“Gonna introduce us?” Eden asked, looking at Adrian.

“Gonna tell me you're here?” I asked.

“Yeah, but only if you introduce us.” he said and Adrian walked over to him.“I'm Adrian and that's Derek.” she said, pointing in his direction.

“Well hello Adrian. I'm Eden.” he said, trying to be all smooth and stuff.

“You're Melonee's brother?” she exclaimed and he nodded.“So you've been talking about me.” Eden said with one of his eyebrows raised.

“Everyone, in my room, now!” I yelled, pointing to the door.

“Not you two!” I told Adrian and Derek when they tried to follow.“You said everyone.” Derek muttered but I ignored and slammed the door.

I stormed in my room, motioning for my siblings and Mikhail to follow me and when they all filed in, I

shut the door and locked it.“What the hell are y'all doing here?” I asked.

“What's the matter, sis? Aren't you happy to see us?” Eden said, smiling and I glared at him.

“Not when you just walk into my house and flirt with my best friend!” I told him and his smile got

 bigger.

“We wanted to suprise you.” Mikhail cut in and I turned my glare to him.

“Well congratz, mission accomplished.” I said.

“We're sorry, Melonee. We should've told you first, but we thought you would actually be happy to seeus.” Alivia said and my anger dissolved when I saw the look on her face. She looked sad, truly sad and

it was weird seeing her with that look on her face because I was used to seeing her so cheerful and

happy.Honestly, I don't even know why I was so mad.

“I'm sorry. I'm not really mad, just....surprised.” I said in a softer voice.

“Good, because it would be kind of a bummer if we had to go back to their place.” Mikhail said, divinginto my bed and getting comfortable.

“Uh, no. That ain't gone work sweet cheeks.” I said, dragging him out of my bed by his feet, which had

shoes on them.

“Shoes off!” I said, abruptly snatching his shoes off and telling the others to do the same.“If you wanted my clothes off, all you had to do was ask and I would happily oblige you.” Mikhail said

and I threw one of his shoes at his head with all the force I had in me.

“Good arm.” he said, rubbing his head where the shoe hit him.“Get out of my bed, now.” I demanded and surprisingly, he did.

“I'll show you to the guest rooms. My dad is at work right now, but he should be home soon. I'm

assuming that he knows you're here.” I said, opening the door and walked down the hallway to the firstroom.

We had about ten of them, but they were rarely used, except for the occasional visitor of family

member that came by.I decorated each room to have a different theme and this room had a renaissance theme.

“Hayden, this is your room.” I said and he looked around with satisfaction..

The next room had a girly-ish theme but when I decorated it, I refused to use pink, so I used purple

instead. Perfect for Alivia.“This is mine” she said quickly and I grinned.

“I was going to give it to Eden, but okay.” I said, laughing at the horrifed look on Eden's face.

The next room had a dark theme. Kind of emo-ish, and it was perfect for Ares. I'm glad I was creativeenough to give each room a different theme. Kind of genious, actually.

Ares didn't even need for me to say anything, he knew that it was his room so he just walked in and

smiled in thanks as he closed the door.“Where's mine?” Eden and Mikhail asked and I rolled my eyes.

I looked through the other six guestrooms and found one for Eden. It had a relaxed, laid back theme to

it fit Eden's personality.

“Eden.” I said pointing to the room.He smiled and walked in.

“I already know where my room is, don't worry.” Mikhail said and I raised my eyebrows at him.

“Where is that?” I asked and he walked down the hall and into my room. Ha! This dude is really not

funny.

“Not even in your dreams!” I yelled, following him.

“Get out, now.” I said and he got up slowly and walked out of the door even slower.Eventually, he chose the room that was right next to mine. I think he did it so that he could annoy me,

and trust me, it worked.

I sighed in frustration and walked back to the game room where Adrian and Derek were silently sittingon the couch. Wow, they're not fighting!

“Questions now or later?” I sighed, sitting on the couch next them.

“Now. Who's the chick?” Derek asked and I groaned. This is not happening.

“My sister, and you're not pursueing her.” I said.

“But what if she wants me?” he asked arrogantly.

“Then I'll send her to a mental asylum because something would be wrong with her.” I said.

“I'm serious.” he said but he didn't sound serious.“With the way you act and treat girls, I doubt you could get a girl like her to pay attention to you.” I

said, and it was the truth. He treated every girl except me, Adrian and his mom, like they were his

playthings.“What do you mean, a girl like her?” he asked, confused.

“A girl who isn't a whore, willing to get down on her knees and give you sexual favors.” I said and then

I added, “I'm not calling you a whore, Adrian. Fortunately, you got him before he turned into awomanizer.”

She nodded in understanding.

“She,'s also my sister, and I love you Derek, really I do, but I wouldn't hesitate to cut you if you hurt

her in anyway.” I said and he knew not to take my threats lightly.“So.....Eden--”

“Is someone you don't want to be involved with trust me.” I told Adrian and she pouted.

“You just wanna save all of that deliciousness to yourself.” she said and I think I threw up a bit in mymouth.

“Loco! He's my brother!” I exclaimed, using the nickname I gave her.

“ Half  brother.” she corrected.“Same thing.” I said and she shrugged.

FML!!!!!
