Welcome to Portland State University and the 2013 Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference! We are excited to have you here for two days of learning, networking and collaboration around the advancement of sustainability on our campuses and beyond.

This week you will hear from some of Oregon's brightest academics, students and professionals working to solve major social, economic and environmental challenges in the world's communities and here at home. We will look at promising solutions in the context of higher education and open a dialogue on the broader role our sector plays in developing new technologies, systems and the next generation of green-minded professionals for an increasingly global workforce. We hope you will both learn a great deal and contribute your ideas towards reaching our collective potential.

Thank you for your support and participation as we evolve to encompass a greater spectrum of institutions across the state.

- The OHESC Organizing Team

P.S. Drive the dialogue forward! Use the hashtag #OHESC13 to tweet your takeaways & follow along with us on Twitter at @issPDXedu.
