RECTOR’S MESSAGE

I am delighted to know that the participants of 85th Senior Staff Course are going topublish an online souvenir where they will share their initiatives, memories, and withthis they will cherish and uphold their learnings on problem solving, intellectualdiscourses and knowledge of innovation. They started their learning journey with thetheme ‘Building Effective, Inclusive and Accountable Public Administrative System’ atBPATC- a centre of excellence for developing patriotic, competent and professional civilservants. It is indeed very praiseworthy that the trainees contributed towardscompilation and publication of this souvenir while participating in the strenuousactivities of the training program. The souvenir will also serve as a reminder of theircolourful stay for 55 days at BPATC.

The Senior Staff Course is a very significant one since it caters to the needs of theparticipants who will contribute to the endeavours of the government for the nextseveral years. The course has been designed to let the trainees prepare for behaviouralgovernance, public policy and management, skilful negotiations, SustainableDevelopment Goals, Information Communication Technology for e-governance andimportant contemporary issues so that they can spearhead innovation, promote e-governance and implement the crucial projects of the government.

I believe, the participants of 85th Senior Staff Course were very much enthusiastic andactively participated in all the activities of the training programmes at home andabroad to enrich themselves and they are now much more equipped to contributetowards achieving the ‘Vision 2021’ and ‘Vision 2041’ for happy and prosperousBangladesh.

Message I am very much delighted to learn that the trainees of the 85th SSC are going to publisha souvenir in online version at the eve of their 55-day long training programme tocommemorate their successful completion of the course. This is indeed a praiseworthyinitiative since they were heavily engaged in course curricula and other extra curriculaactivities from the beginning to the end of this course.

SSC is a very prestigious course that provides unique opportunity for the officersworking at the policy level to share valuable experiences with fellow colleagues andrelevant experts. In view of that this course has been designed to enhanceparticipants’ capability of dealing national and global issues professionally, efficientlyand effectively setting the motto “building effective-inclusive-accountable publicadministration system”. To my understanding and realization the participants acceptedthis motto wholeheartedly and therefore they were found very sincere, hardworkingand committed in performing their course activities. They were always found veryopen to new experiences and initiative to develop themselves through achieving newinsights and investing best possible efforts.

This is for the first time the participants are going to publish a souvenir in onlineversion and I believe, this innovative initiative is an expression of their heartfeltcommitment and dedication towards making their 55-day long coexistence adorableand creditable to each other. I also hope that this souvenir will act as a “Bondage”among the participants and Course Management Team.

I congratulate all the participants on their successful completion of the course and Iwish this training will inculcate self-confidence and patriotism among them andmotivate them to work more efficiency with honesty and dedication to the goal ofturning our beloved Bangladesh into a middle-income economy by 2021 and adeveloped economy by 2041. May the blessings of the Almighty be always upon themto make this journey a grand success.

Editorial Note

Time moves in one direction, memory in the other. Memory draws its footprints as thetime passes away. This souvenir is the creation of the participants of 85th Senior StaffCourse as recognition of their unbound joys and memories which will keep aliveforever.

After a long time this training has given us an environment of interaction, creativethinking, in-depth analysis which will help us in decision making in our career. Thetraining participants were engaged not only in academic sessions but also enjoyed themorning physical exercise, evening sports, cultural programs, and exposure visits athome and abroad. Most importantly, the valuable company of the participants of thiscourse who are immensely talented and dynamic with an extraordinarily cooperativesoul made the learning more fulfilled.

The e-publication of this souvenir has been a challenging pleasure. On behalf of thesouvenir committee, I sincerely appreciate the creative endeavor of the participants ofthis course. Special gratitude is due to the members of the souvenir committee fortheir active support and contribution.
