15th December 2009 Countdown to Holidays It won’t be long before we can all sleep in and take our time to enjoy the summer weather. Holidays begin for the students on Thursday but our teachers have two days of training at the end of the week. The staff will be receiving further training in the use and application of Interactive Whiteboards. We will also be looking at the Aboriginal policy and developing plans for the school. School will resume for Students on Thursday 28th January. 2010 Kindergarten will begin on Friday 29th January. Teachers will return on the Wednesday 27th January. Christmas Carols at Boolaroo Thank you to all who attended and joined in the carolling. It was a magical night. Feedback was very positive this year. Thanks to Irene who led the singing on the night. Christmas Raffle The P&C have raised another $1160 from the Raffle drawn last Friday after our Presentation Ceremony. Thank you parents & friends who have supported our students in their fundraising. Year 6 Farewell The school will farewell our Year 6 students this week. Denny Cox (Captain), Hayden Clancy (Vice Captain), Christina Harris, Jake Chedzey & Martika Baker. I have enjoyed watching their growth and development over the past few years. I have seen major changes in attitude in all the students and I wish them every success in their time in high school and the years beyond. Hopefully they will remember the three P’s. Be positive, be persistent and participate.
Christmas Message I would like to end this newsletter with a thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of the students and staff this year. Your efforts are always appreciated and you help make our school not only a great place to learn but also a very happy friendly place for all. School Vandalism It has been noted that on the weekends we have had some visitors to our playground leaving unwanted messages. Please report any vandalism or suspicious trespassers in school grounds to the School Security Number 1300 880 021.

15th December 2009 Countdown to Holidays It won’t be long before we can all sleep in and take our time to enjoy the summer weather. Holidays begin for the students on Thursday but our teachers have two days of training at the end of the week. The staff will be receiving further training in the use and application of Interactive Whiteboards. We will also be looking at the Aboriginal policy and developing plans for the school. School will resume for Students on Thursday 28th January. 2010 Kindergarten will begin on Friday 29th January. Teachers will return on the Wednesday 27th January. Christmas Carols at Boolaroo Thank you to all who attended and joined in the carolling. It was a magical night. Feedback was very positive this year. Thanks to Irene who led the singing on the night. Christmas Raffle The P&C have raised another $1160 from the Raffle drawn last Friday after our Presentation Ceremony. Thank you parents & friends who have supported our students in their fundraising. Year 6 Farewell The school will farewell our Year 6 students this week. Denny Cox (Captain), Hayden Clancy (Vice Captain), Christina Harris, Jake Chedzey & Martika Baker. I have enjoyed watching their growth and development over the past few years. I have seen major changes in attitude in all the students and I wish them every success in their time in high school and the years beyond. Hopefully they will remember the three P’s. Be positive, be persistent and participate.

Christmas.
15th December 2009 Countdown to Holidays It won’t be long before we can all sleep in and take our time to enjoy the summer weather. Holidays begin for the students on Thursday but our teachers have two days of training at the end of the week. The staff will be receiving further training in the use and application of Interactive Whiteboards. We will also be looking at the Aboriginal policy and developing plans for the school. School will resume for Students on Thursday 28th January. 2010 Kindergarten will begin on Friday 29th January. Teachers will return on the Wednesday 27th January. Christmas Carols at Boolaroo Thank you to all who attended and joined in the carolling. It was a magical night. Feedback was very positive this year. Thanks to Irene who led the singing on the night. Christmas Raffle The P&C have raised another $1160 from the Raffle drawn last Friday after our Presentation Ceremony. Thank you parents & friends who have supported our students in their fundraising. Year 6 Farewell The school will farewell our Year 6 students this week. Denny Cox (Captain), Hayden Clancy (Vice Captain), Christina Harris, Jake Chedzey & Martika Baker. I have enjoyed watching their growth and development over the past few years. I have seen major changes in attitude in all the students and I wish them every success in their time in high school and the years beyond. Hopefully they will remember the three P’s. Be positive, be persistent and participate.
Christmas Message I would like to end this newsletter with a thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of the students and staff this year. Your efforts are always appreciated and you help make our school not only a great place to learn but also a very happy friendly place for all. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe relaxed holiday. I look forward to another great year at Boolaroo. Uniforms Uniforms have arrived, there is limited stock. For those who have a layby your items are ready to be picked up when the full amount owing is paid. If you have paid in full please see Mrs Bailey in the office to pick up your uniform. Fire Truck It is rumoured that on 20th December the fire truck will be driving around Boolaroo with a very special guest on board. School Vandalism It has been noted that on the weekends we have had some visitors to our playground leaving unwanted messages. Please report any vandalism or suspicious trespassers in school grounds to the School Security Number 1300 880 021.
