The TN Dept of Education requires test scores to be no older than five years for license application.

TTU is offering a Middle School Science course sequence online:

COURSES:

ASTR 1010 (3) Intro to Modern Astronomy

BIOL 3120 (3) General Ecology

CUED 4400 or 5500 (3) Teaching Methods of Phys Science

SEED 4123 or 5123 (3) Materials & Methods of Teaching Science

Candidates must also successfully complete the required state licensure specialty tests for the Middle Grades 6-8 science endorsement area:

5440 Middle School (min. score of 150 required)

Candidates holding an endorsement in Elementary K-5 (120 or equivalent) may only need the four courses listed, while other initially endorsed candidates may need other courses/tests in addition to the two offered.

All candidates must submit a transcript analysis request form to TTU Office of Teacher Education to initiate the process:
