Facility Upgrade at a Leading Medical Research Institute Preparation for the shutdowns began with Brooks identifying all 280+ units in the building and recording their internal temperatures. Brooks brought in generators and ran cables up the side of the nine-story building and down every hallway with spider boxes and cords distributed to all the units in every lab. Brooks provided “at-temperature” back-up freezers and refrigerators in case any of the customer-owned units failed during the shutdown periods. Throughout both 72-hour shutdown periods, the team at Brooks monitored every piece of equipment and documented temperatures for each unit EVERY TWO HOURS to ensure all the irreplaceable research remained at their appropriate temperatures. A large medical research center at a renowned academic institution planned a two-phase power shutdown of the entire building to perform a facility upgrade. They hired the transport division of Brooks Life Sciences to supply and maintain power to all the critical equipment while documenting temperatures every two hours. Even though the project didn’t involve moving laboratory material and equipment, the university relied on Brooks to skillfully coordinate a professional, uncomplicated event – and plan for any unforeseen circumstances that could jeopardize irreplaceable research material stored in the laboratories. Facility Upgrade at a Leading Medical Research Institute

Preparation for the shutdowns began with Brooks identifying all 280+ units in the building and recording their internal temperatures.
