MANDELA DAY

This year, for Mandela Day, we have decided to help our furry

friends in need. Grace Animal Sanctuary is a home for animals

who are in need of some TLC. It would be appreciated if you

could donate some food and blankets for these special animals.

Grade 1: Blankets

Grade 2: Cat food

Grade 3: Dog food

Any other grades are more than welcome to donate food. Why

not get your class involved?

When: Any time before 29 June 2017.

Where: Please could you bring the donations to Miss Henry’s

class (3E1)

BIBLIOTEEK/LIBRARY

All library books need to be returned by the end of this week and

by the latest next week, 20th of June! Your help in this regard will

be much appreciated! If there is a problem with regard to a

book/s, please write me a note so that we can sort it out before

the end of the school term.

KUNSKLAS / ART ROOM

Die IFSEN-Kunsklas is dringend op soek na plastieksakke (bv. P’nP/ Clicks) en bokse (bv. papbokse of groter) vir die maak van maskers en weefwerk. Alle bydraes sal waardeer word. The IFSEN-Art Room is in need of plastic shopping bags (eg. P’nP/ Clicks) and boxes (eg. cereal boxes or bigger) for the making of masks and weaving. All contributions will be much appreciated.

Die Kunsklas gebruik BAIE herwinde papier. Bladsye waarop eenkant gedruk is, en gewoonlik herwin sal word, kan gerus eers ʼn draai

hier by ons in die Kunsklas kom maak. Ons sal weer herwin.

boere van die Piekeniersberg het die geld geskenk wat dit sou kos om ‘n biblioteek te bou, maar hul le het geen boeke nie omdat hulle

aangewese is op fondse en donasies van privaatinstansies. Hulle stuur hul opregte waardering aan almal wat bereid was om boeke te

skenk!

Aangesien daar ongeveer ses weke verloop vanaf die laaste wedstryde tot die aanvang van die derde kwartaal, is daar

deur die portefeuljehoofde besluit om wel fiksheids- en vaardigheidsoefeninge gedurende die eksamen in te pas.

Each age group will be involved in practices during the exam for two days. Learners may get changed during second

break on the relevant day

SPORTOEFENINGE VIR GRONDSLAGFASE TYDENS EKSAMEN Wintersportoefeninge vir Grondslagfase geskied tydens hulle “skil ls” en Evergym-periodes. Leerders sal in hulle onderskeie sportsoorte verdeel. Leerders wat nie ‘n wintersport beoefen nie, sal voortgaan met die normale “skil ls” en LO-program. Winter sport practises wil l take place during the normal Evergym and skil ls periods . Gauteng tydens die Aprilskoolvakansie 2017 (o/14). Hy kwalifiseer dus om Suid Afrika te verteenwordig in die:

- Commonwealth Chess Championships, in Julie 2017, in Indië.

- World Youth Chess Championships, in Uruguay, in September 2017.

Dante is ook opgeneem in die Western Cape Schools Chess span wat in die Julievakansie aan die 2017 South African Open

Chess Championships gaan deelneem, nadat hy die 2de plek behaal het in die Western Cape Schools Chess Tournament

(o/13) in Nuweland, Kaapstad in Mei 2017.

Al 3 ons skaakspanne kwalifiseer om aan die Distik Noord Topskole deel te neem op 16 Junie. Ons wens hulle geluk en sterkte
