There are two regions in the state namely Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.

These two regions comprise 13 districts, with 9 in Coastal Andhra and 4 in Rayalaseema.

Andhra Pradesh is bestowed with two mighty river systems of Krishna and Godavari. Its varied topography ranging from the hills of Eastern Ghats and Nallamallas to the shores of Bay of Bengal supports varied ecotypes, rich diversity of flora and fauna.

Visakhapatnam a commercial hub of the state

with a GDP of $26 billion followed by

Vijayawada with a GDP of $3 billion as of 2010,

and is expected to increase to $17 billion by

2025. There are a total of 28 cities with a

population of 100,000 and above in the state at

the 2011 Census, while Visakhapatnam and

Vijayawada are the two million-plus cities.

Amaravati is the proposed capital city of Andhra

Pradesh. The planned riverfront capital is located

on the southern banks of the River Krishna. The

new city will cover a site of approximately 217.23

sq. km., within the Andhra Pradesh Capital

Region.

The Capital Region itself will cover an area of

8,352.69 sq. km., straddling on both sides of the

Krishna River, in Guntur and Krishna districts.

A Singapore consortium has

been appointed master planners

for the new Andhra Pradesh

capital city and surrounding

region, including an 8 Sq km

seed development area. This is

the first phase of the capital city

development project, which is a

partnership between Singapore

and Andhra Pradesh.

The foundation stone of the proposed city was laid

at Uddandarayunipalem village of Guntur district

by P M Narendra Modi in October 2015.

The new capital is named after the historic site of

Amaravathi, which will also be a part of the Capital

Region.

The cities of Guntur and Vijayawada are the major

suburbs of the proposed capital

Without Hyderabad, and before Amaravati

is real, is what is worth seeing is really „see-

able‟ in Andhra, or we have to wait till the

tourist facilities improve?

Can we say Seemandhra is See Andhra?

Borra Caves, Katiki Waterfalls? What-else?

Thirteen districts, mostly along 974 km coastline, have

much tourist potential with investment that can bring in

returns.

For example, improve Machilipatnam (Masula), a port

town, where cyclone finished off over 30000 people

during 1864 cyclone. Establish a Natural Disaster

Mitigation Training Centre against Flood, Earthquake

and Cyclone there. Is there a memorial there?

TELANGANA

Two new States were formed

from Andhra Pradesh in 2014.

Telangana consisted of the 10

districts of Hyderabad, Adilabad,

Khammam, Karimnagar,

Mahbubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda,

Nizamabad, Rangareddy, and

Warangal.

Telangana, Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra

were regions of the linguistic State of Andhra

Pradesh, from which now Telangana and

Andhra (or Seemandhra) have been formed.

Telangana was a region that was formerly part

of Hyderabad State ruled by the Nizam.

The Telangana region has an area of 114,840

square kilometres (44,340 sq mi), and a

population of 35,286,757 (2011 census) which

is 41.6% of Andhra Pradesh state population.

Ten districts form the State,

with 17 Lok Sabha seats and

119 assembly seats.

Most of Godavari in Telangana is flowing 3 meters

below the surface level, so proposed irrigation

projects are lift Irrigation system, which has to be

organized to ensure a properly functioning system.

There are challenges to meet the energy demand

and to develop infrastructure. A smaller state has

to focus on issues to ensure better inclusive

development All resources of ten districts could

be used within the ten districts.

Telangana is a semi-arid area and has mostly hot

and dry climate. Summers start in March, and peak

in May with average high temperatures in the 42 °C

(108 °F) range. The monsoon arrives in June and

lasts until September with about 755 mm (29.7-inch)

of precipitation. A dry, mild winter starts in late

November and lasts until early February. With little

humidity and average temperatures in the 22–23 °C

(72–73 °F) range, this is the most comfortable time

of the year.

Butcher community that ekes out a living only

through animal trade and slaughter are now

under the rising right wing vigilantism that is

proving a menace to them.

Two Acts, viz, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

Act and Prohibition of Cow Slaughter and Animal

Preservation Act are quoted even when Animal

Husbandry Department confirms the animals

that are fit for slaughter.

Hindu Muslim difference. Do we need „Prevent

Cruelty to Fellow Human Act „?

A bill may be passed in the Parliament, to make

the stretch of Godavari from Nasik to Rajahmundry

as National Waterway.

Telangana government has requested to include

the stretch from Kaleshwaram to Bhadrachalam as

part of the National Waterway 4., from

Bhadrachalam to Rajahmundry, already declared

in may 2015.

To build on Hyderabad‟s image in comparison

Govt. is unlikely to pick up a stake in the start-

ups.

Early stage start-ups have one year to prove

themselves.
