PRINCIPAL NEWS 2018 PREP PARENT INFORMATION SESSIONS This week we held two Parent Information Sessions for pro-spective prep parents It is a fantastic opportunity for us to reflect on the high quality teaching and learning which occurs at our school We have also been conducting regular tours on Friday mornings at 10am which have been heavily attended throughout the year It is a pleasure to take parents and fu-ture students through our classrooms to observe the learning which is happening in such positive and supportive environ-ments UNITED CHILDREN CHILD CARE AND KINDERGARTEN This year we have been forming a partnership with Julie at United Children Child Care and Kindergarten across the road from our school in Bailey Street Their kindergarten students have visited our school and we will continue to invite them to events which will suit both our needs and interests On Wednesday 31st May at 7PM they will be conducting an in-formation session which we will also be participating in If you are interested in finding out more information about their organisation please call 5241 2939 to register your attendance ATHLETICS It is finally time for our Year 3 4 5 and 6 students to partici-pate in the athletics carnival this Friday at John Landy Ath-letics Field We are very excited for the students and wish them the best of luck competing against Mandama and Bel-mont Primary Schools The events will commence at 945AM and conclude with relays at 210PM NO ASSEMBLY We would just like to remind our community that we have cancelled the assembly this Friday due to the Year 3-6 ath-letics Thank you for understanding Furthermore our classes are also preparing weekly presentations which cover a range of exciting learning experiences DIVISION CROSS COUNTRY This Tuesday we have ten students who have qualified for the division cross country at Eastern Gardens We would like to wish Mitchel Chappell Lynette Corona-Sanchez Nathan Harper Riley Hutchins Matilda Lewis Leyla Ball-Manzur Harry Watson Emily Donovan Chloe Adams and Daisy Wil-son all the best for their events and would also like to thank the parents and volunteers who are supporting our students and school too Good luck and we hope you all enjoy com-peting at the division level Brad Venn Assistant Principal
