JANUARY NEWSLETTER
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
WELCOME TO 2020
“DO NOT BE AFRAID, FOR I AM WITH YOU” -Isaiah 41:10
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Dear St. Barnabas Community,
Happy New Year!!! May God continue to bless the community of St.
Barnabas School and grant us the strength to continue to serve the Lord in
this new year. I hope everyone had a restful and rejuvenating break. We
are off to an exciting start to this new year. As this is the month of Courage,
we challenge our community to rise above any fears and to live our lives in
ways that make others know we are followers of Christ. I continue to
encourage all families to attend mass on the weekends at St. Barnabas
Parish. In our school community, we have many excursions and programs
planned for this month. Students will be participating in athletic
tournaments and club competitions such as W5H as well as getting back
into the routines of homework completion and organization. On behalf of
the staff and students of St. Barnabas, we would like to wish our
community a very happy and blessed new year.
Sincerely,
Mr. Novis

Kindergarten Registration
Dear Parents and Families in the Community:
If you have a child who was born in 2016, then s/he is eligible to
register for Kindergarten beginning September 2020.
Parents/guardians with JK/SK children will have an opportunity to
apply on-line using the “Student On-line Application for Registration”
platform known as S.O.A.R. The school will then contact you to
schedule a meeting. The link for is S.O.A.R.: http://soar.tcdsb.org.
Please contact Mrs. Rosos for any additional information.
Winter Clothing Now that the cold weather is here, it is extremely important that our students are dressed warmly for the winter months. Please ensure that your child has a warm coat, hat, mitts or gloves, and warm boots. If possible, we ask that students have an indoor pair of shoes to leave at the school. Please check regularly to be sure your child has returned home with their clothing. If you are missing clothes, please feel free to check in our Lost and Found Box. Now that we are wearing uniform, it is very important to label all clothing.
