The following changes were made; Harry M. Naugle, Worthington's pres. since 1934, was elected chmn. of the board ; Robert F. Smith, executive vp, was elected pres.; Myron turer of golf balls in the world, was founded in 1904. The company, which employs over 150 employees, produces the famous "Les Strokes" and "Sweet Shot" lines. Last year alone Worth- ington sold over 6,000,000 balls. To meet the continuous demand for improved golf balls, this year Worthington is introducing two new revolutionary golf balls, the "Wonder- ball" and "White Flite." These are paintless balls which will remain white for the life of the ball. These two new products were developed by Worthington's development staff. Mylone, produced by Union Carbide Chemi-cals Co., 3 0 E. 42nd st., N e w York 17, is said to be giving good control of weed seeds, soil diseases, insects and nematodes. It has been widely tested. At the recent sales meeting of the Ben Hogan Co., Ft. Worth, held at the Ft. Harrison Hotel io Clearwater, Fla., it was reported that advance orders are running nearly 5 0 per cent ahead of last year. According to Ed Rankin, vp, the Hogan line has been expanded with the addition ol men's and women's gloves and umbrellas. Ho-gan clubs for '5H include six models of woods, three models of irons, including the women's "Princess" line. Tbe 1 9 5 8 sales campaign is be-ing backed by a b ig advertising plan which fea-tures wide use of a four-color, spectacular ap-proach. The Ernie Sabayrac sales organization, Hialeah, Fla., represents the Hogan company.

The proposed merger of MacGregor of Cin-cinnati, O., and Brunswick-Balke-Collender, Chi-cago, as reported in Nov, was completed in February. Brunswick submitted to stockholders of MacGregor Sport Products Inc., a proposal to exchange stock on a share for share basis, A sufficient number of shares, in accordance with the offer, were delivered for exchange.

Two of the most prominent names in the recreation equipment field were united through the merger, MacGregor becomes a subsidiary of Brunswick, retaining its own identity as a legal entity frith ,o change in management.
